Kayaknya gue telat banget bahas ini, tapi tetep gatel mau bahas. Kalo harus milih, seorang suami itu harus mendahulukan ibu, istri, atau anak? *** Secara agama, cukup banyak orang yang bilang ibu yang harus diduluin. Ini mungkin masuk akal, karena memang ibu itu orang yang paling berjasa. Ngeliat gimana ibu melahirkan dan yang ngebesarin kita, wajar kalo ibu adalah orang yang harus diutamain. Ada juga yang bilang istri yang utama, karena istri adalah orang yang melahirkan anak sang suami dan akan mendidik anaknya ini. Jadinya apa yang dilakukan anaknya nanti adalah tanggung jawab istrinya. Istri dan anak jadi satu paket. Tapi, kalo kita main logika, mungkin yang terbaik tuh gini: kita harus menghormati ibu karena jasanya dan sebagian diri kita berasal dari dia. Dengan menghormati ibu, normalnya ibu akan sayang ke istri karena istri adalah ibu dari anak yang ayahnya dia sayang. Kata kunci di sini adalah normalnya, biasanya. Dari logika itu, ibu adalah nomer satu karena kasih sayang ibu mengalir ke bawah, dan di hubungan yang sehat seorang laki-laki jadi gak harus memilih antara ibu dan istri. Tapi kalo memang ada pertentangan antara ibu dengan istri, mungkin secara teknis sebaiknya laki-laki itu mendahulukan sosok yang bisa menghasilkan dampak kerusakan paling kecil. Banyak yang mendahulukan istrinya, karena biasanya ibu akan lebih mudah maafin nantinya. Nah tapiii, kalo ternyata ibu bertentangan sama istri dan anak, mungkin tindakan seorang laki-laki akan bergantung sama masa kecilnya dan kualitas hubungannya sama ibunya. Kalo ibunya adalah ibu yang baik dan ngasih masa kecil yang bahagia waktu seorang laki-laki masih kecil, kemungkinan laki-laki ini akan ngeduluin sang ibu. Istri mungkin akan didahulukan kalo sebaliknya. Apapun pilihannya dia, itu pilihan yang harus dihargai semua pihak.
