Durante años denuncié a la dictadura criminal venezolana, de la cual el gobierno argentino llegó a ser socio y cómplice. Apoyé a sus presidentes electos, denuncié el fraude y siempre estuve del lado de la querida María Corina Machado, la gran luchadora por la libertad de Venezuela. Hoy celebro la detención de Nicolás Maduro, y ver llegar a su fin la impunidad de un dictador que se creía eterno. Espero que el orden democrático pueda restablecerse de inmediato. Se inicia una época nueva: Latinoamérica recupera un país secuestrado por una dictadura.

Ayer fui invitado a comer por el presidente Milei en Olivos, en agradecimiento por el apoyo que le di en la semana más difícil de su gobierno antes de las elecciones. En el encuentro hablamos sobre los temas pendientes. La idea era pensar la mejor manera de reforzar los equipos y prepararse para esta segunda etapa, pero no logramos ponernos de acuerdo. La salida de un hombre con capacidad y equilibrio como Guillermo Francos, que para la ciudadanía representaba sensatez, para ser reemplazado por otro sin experiencia, no parece ser una buena noticia. Como le mencioné, existía la posibilidad de reemplazar a Francos por otra persona idónea de su equipo, con un perfil más técnico y mayor capacidad de conducción y coordinación de equipos, como Horacio Marín, actual presidente de YPF, que reúne todas las condiciones por su experiencia previa. El jefe de Gabinete de Ministros es una figura esencial: coordina los equipos políticos y de gestión en torno a una agenda y una estrategia. A esta decisión a mi juicio desacertada, se suma la falta de resolución de las conocidas disputas internas del gobierno, claves en la hoja de ruta del futuro. Lamento esta situación porque, tras el esfuerzo realizado, la revalidación de la gente en las urnas y el apoyo inédito de Estados Unidos, el país se encuentra frente a una oportunidad histórica que no puede desaprovechar. Como el presidente ha dicho públicamente, yo no he pedido ni pediré nada a título personal, pero me veo obligado a hacer mi aporte y a expresar mis preocupaciones porque nos une el futuro del país.

Comparto la gran alegría que tenemos los argentinos hoy por el fallo del tribunal de Apelaciones de EE.UU. que dejó sin efecto la sentencia que obligaba al país a pagar casi 18 mil millones de dólares y entregar el 51% de las acciones de YPF. De esta manera termina una pesadilla que comenzó con el gobierno de Cristina Kirchner, con una expropiación ilegal que fue votada en contra por los diputados del PRO y que, como anticipé en su momento, iba a traer muchos problemas. Es indignante ver hoy a Cristina presumiendo desde su prisión domiciliaria que este fallo le da la razón a aquel atropello. Los argumentos que tomó la cámara de apelaciones norteamericana son los mismos que originalmente presentó nuestro procurador, Bernardo Saravia Frías, lo que da un nuevo valor a su gran desempeño. También quiero destacar que, en estos dos años de gobierno, la tenacidad de la defensa de la actual Procuración fue la que finalmente permitió alcanzar el éxito. Como sea, hoy es un día de alegría. El puño que hubiese significado para todos los argentinos el pago de esa condena ya quedó atrás. Es hora de dar el próximo paso para que la riqueza de la energía nacional nos ayude a reparar los daños de tantos años perdidos.

Hoy despedimos todos con tristeza a Luis Brandoni. Un tipo que se la jugaba, que nunca tuvo miedo de expresar sus ideas. Defendió la libertad, la democracia y la república, con un compromiso profundo que se extendió mucho más allá de su trabajo. Tuvimos una muy linda relación, incluso a pesar de que empezamos en las antípodas -él era reacio a la propuesta del PRO, e incluso a mi persona-, pero supimos superar prejuicios y construir un vínculo de afecto y respeto. Me quedará siempre el recuerdo de un hombre realmente valiente y especial. Mis cariños y respeto a su familia y amigos.

Como tantos otros argentinos que sentimos la causa de los venezolanos casi como propia, hoy las palabras de María Corina, leídas por su hija al recibir el premio Nobel de la Paz en nombre de su madre, nos llegan al corazón. “El mundo presenciará el regreso de los nuestros a casa y yo estaré allí”. Así será. Felicitaciones @MariaCorinaYA por este merecido reconocimiento a tu sacrificio, lucha y amor por Venezuela!

🌊 HOY MAR DEL PLATA VUELVE A VER EL MAR Se fueron las tolderías y los puestos precarios manejados por mafias que se creían dueñas de lo que es de todos y tapaban una de las postales más emblemáticas de la ciudad. Donde antes había desorden, hoy vuelve a aparecer lo que siempre tuvo que estar: la costa, la arena, el paisaje y el espacio público para que disfruten vecinos y turistas. Recuperar esta visual no es un detalle. Es poner orden y devolverle a la ciudad un lugar que nunca debió estar así. La ciudad se defiende de esta manera: con decisión y poniendo las cosas en su lugar.
