Danielle Smith engagement report
@ABDanielleSmith - 435K followers on X
Measured over 48 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on August 30, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 760 interactions against 435K followers, an engagement rate of 0.175%. Measured over 48 original posts, its engagement rate beats 77% of 3,882 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 41K times each, and 1.83% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 9.52% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.9 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on almost every day in the window. Most posts go out around 21:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 48 posts sampled, 85% carry an image or video and 25% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 13K interactions, about 17x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
Danielle Smith's engagement rate beats 77% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,882 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 67% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.175%, Danielle Smith sits above the 50th percentile of the 37,701 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.081% to 0.439%.

I am deeply disappointed that Canada and the United States have not been able to reach a trade agreement. Alberta has always advocated for a tariff free relationship, and will continue to do so. No one benefits from a trade war. Tariffs and counter-tariffs hurt businesses, workers and families on both sides of the border, while weakening one of the most important economic and security relationships in the world. My first concern today is for the Albertans and Canadians whose livelihoods are at risk from these new tariffs and counter-tariffs. I welcome the federal government’s intention to provide relief for those businesses that are impacted. Alberta will continue to advocate for a strong tariff free relationship between Canada and the U.S. and I will be urging the federal government to restart negotiations as soon as possible.

A student visa is a temporary document to study in Canada. That was always understood. Our universities and colleges were built by Alberta taxpayers, first and foremost for Alberta students. Where there is room for international students, the terms are simple. Earn your education, then return home to build a life with it. Rules are what make a fair system fair and our country needs to return to an immigration process that respects the rules.

Alberta is on track for a sixth consecutive surplus, and the Heritage Fund is on pace to hit $35 billion in 2027. Not only did we balance the budget in 2025-26, but we are now also on track for a $2 billion surplus in 2026-27. Our economy is growing faster than forecast and faster than most of the country, and we’re attracting more and more investment. Thank you to Minister Jason Nixon @JasonNixonAB and his team for the discipline and hard work behind these numbers. Alberta has been given a great opportunity to finish the year strong.

Canadians have every reason to be upset with the breakdown in the trade negotiations with the United States. The U.S. tariffs are harmful to both countries and are straining one of the most successful trading relationships on earth. Canada now faces significant job losses, and Alberta will do our part to help Canadian businesses, workers, and families during these uncertain times. Today I had an opportunity to talk to Ontario Premier Doug Ford @fordnation. I recognize that these tariffs have a disproportionate impact on Ontario businesses, and I’ve offered my support on how we can constructively work together to strengthen the Canadian economy. A strong energy sector creates a strong Canada. It can provide the revenue all levels of government will need to support other impacted sectors. That’s why we are committed to accelerating the construction of pipelines, including the Northern Shield pipeline from Alberta to Ontario and the oil pipeline to the West Coast, and other critical export infrastructure. As I’ve said in the past, cutting off Alberta energy exports to the U.S. would be extremely harmful to Canadians and is not a viable option. Right now, our focus must be on immediate action: supporting affected workers and businesses, dismantling interprovincial trade barriers, strong diplomacy and continuing to grow our export markets. I look forward to discussing these constructive strategies with Prime Minister Mark Carney @MarkJCarney and Canada’s Premiers.

Less talk. More action. Cutting off Alberta energy would hurt Eastern Canadians long before it would trouble anyone else. We win this by being smarter. Back our workers, open new markets, drop our own provincial trade barriers and approve the west coast pipeline now. https://t.co/giL9mGlLiB

Tariffs and counter-tariffs are harmful. They disrupt businesses, threaten jobs, drive up inflation and strain the relationship between Canada and the United States. Threatening to cut off or tax Alberta’s energy is not the answer. It would devastate Alberta’s economy, hurt workers and businesses across Canada and risk losing our largest energy customer. There is a better way forward. We need to support Canadian workers and businesses being hurt by these tariffs, double down on diplomacy with U.S. lawmakers and governors, break down interprovincial trade barriers, buy Canadian wherever possible and strengthen relationships with international trading partners to open new markets for Canadian products. We need to move projects forward, starting by approving the pipeline to the west coast immediately to get construction underway as soon as possible. It is integral to reaching more markets for Alberta oil and strengthening Canada’s economic independence. Canada will not win this battle through brute force. We will win by being smarter, more strategic and more agile. Less talk. More action. That is how we win.

Twenty unsafe carriers are gone from Alberta's roads. If your company has severe safety deficiencies, you will face targeted enforcement. If you try to restart under a new name in another jurisdiction, we will find you there. Albertans asked for safer highways. We are delivering. Read the full story here: https://t.co/bwEOZD2VI0

Alberta agrees. Paul Brandt @paulbrandt has been putting his heart and soul into this fight and he is asking all of Canada to stand up and protect our children. Alberta’s government will continue fighting for stronger federal laws that put predators in jail. I encourage everyone to take a moment and read Paul’s story here: https://t.co/TRj9vq0RPa

Let me be clear: the administration and delivery of health care is an area of provincial jurisdiction, not federal. We expect the federal government to respect Alberta’s jurisdiction and its authority to determine how health care is delivered in this province. We remain committed to building a stronger public system and ensuring Albertans never have to pay out of pocket for medically necessary care - which is a commitment we have made under our Public Health Care Guarantee. Alberta’s dual practice model does not violate the Canada Health Act. The Act does not prohibit private practice outside the publicly insured system. Albertans who choose to pay privately for eligible elective surgery should be able to do so here at home, rather than travelling out of province as they have done for decades. In Alberta, we do things a little differently, and I firmly believe we can do both.

- What is Danielle Smith's engagement rate on X?
- Danielle Smith (@ABDanielleSmith) has an engagement rate of 0.175%, based on the median interactions across 48 original posts from the last 30 days against 435,127 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.175%, Danielle Smith sits above the 50th percentile of the 37,701 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @ABDanielleSmith have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 77% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,882 accounts), which puts it in the top quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @ABDanielleSmith post?
- Most posts go out around 21:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.9 posts per day across the measured window.
