Telling millions of followers that Jewish Americans are bringing violence on themselves is blatantly antisemitic and one of the oldest tropes in the book. Anyone who campaigns with Piker or elevates him is complicit in the rising antisemitism and anti-American hatred in this country. There's no room for it in the Democratic Party.

As he made these comments, he displayed the photo of Michigan State Senator Jeremy Moss - a Jewish American running for U.S. Congress. By showing the image of a named elected official as he warned of violence, Piker put a target on the backs of Sen. Moss, Jewish candidates and officeholders, and American Jews alike. Blaming Jews for the antisemitism directed at them is itself antisemitism. Every public official who has shared his platform now has a choice: denounce this and walk away, or be complicit. We welcome the actions recently taken by the IDF, Israeli Police, and Shin Bet to attempt to remove Israeli extremists involved since Sunday in the reprehensible siege against a Palestinian family in Qusra in the West Bank, and to restore order to the area. Intervention by authorities is necessary and important. Those who engage in this violence, including the illegal seizure of Palestinian homes and other property, must be held accountable. We urge continued vigilance and timely, decisive action against any extremist violence that continues to escalate in the West Bank.

Dan Bilzerian posted an AI-generated campaign video targeting his Jewish primary opponent - depicting him as a demonic caricature and urging voters to "revisit" Hitler. This is not politics. Mark Ruffalo’s antisemitic post about the @ParamountPics merger should concern anyone who cares about justice and human rights. You can oppose a merger without resorting to antisemitic tropes. You can criticize Israel without dragging the Jewish state into an unrelated corporate debate. And saying “some of my best friends are Jewish” doesn’t excuse rhetoric that singles out and vilifies Jews and Israel. Ruffalo says he is not being antisemitic, but it is not for him to define whether his comments cross that line. His words have consequences. Thank you, @RepJeffries, for speaking with moral clarity in calling out Hasan Piker's antisemitism. It is the duty of party leadership on both sides to expel antisemitism and hatred from our politics. More Democrats and public figures on the left must join with Rep. Jeffries and @RepPeteAguilar in loudly condemning Piker, his words, and those who continue to platform him. Anything less is complicity.
