A typical post picks up 70 interactions against 265K followers, an engagement rate of 0.026%. Measured over 50 original posts, its engagement rate beats 36% of 21,624 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 8.3K times each, and 0.836% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.13% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.4 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 17% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 12:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 50 posts sampled, 84% carry an image or video and 22% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 12K interactions, about 174x its own typical post.

Measured over 50 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 30, 2026.

Compared with accounts its own size

Bitcoin News's engagement rate beats 36% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,624 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 38% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.026%, Bitcoin News sits above the 25th percentile of the 218,281 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.025% to 0.149%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 218,281 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 21,721 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 84% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 22% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 483 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

ok safe to say binance is pwned The biggest assets were approximately: • 1.615B USDT • 62.6M RLUSD • 29,934 wBETH • 11,372 XAUt • 6.19M UNI • 198.4M ENA • 7.175T PEPE • 27.8M USD1 • 2.26M LINK • 127,853 AAVE about $2.5B at the explorer’s prices. 1. The attacker deployed a delegate contract, 0x63e842b0...73e9c6fAe, from the relayer at 15:59 UTC. 2. About four hours later, the relayer submitted an EIP-7702 authorization transaction That installed the malicious 7702 delegate code on Binance 14. 3. The relayer then made a call to Binance 14, executing the delegate code, and transferring Binance 14’s ETH and token balances. 4. The calldata is labeled sweep(address, address[]). The second argument is a list of recognizable token-contract addresses plus the zero-address (eth). 5. The same relayer later used the same delegate to move 780M USDC from Binance Hot Wallet 34 into the same pool • The relayer 0x7C... was funded by three Tornado Cash 0.1 ETH withdrawals over the prior two days. • The same pool also received 28,005.6 ETH from Binance 16 24 seconds after the main sweep. • The pool then forwarded 195,460 ETH to a fresh, unlabeled EOA • That EOA has only one transaction and currently holds the 195,460 ETH. What's a bit unclear is why the relayer was needed in the first place. If they had the private keys to the Binance wallets, they could have just sent the assets out in an atomic bundle without needing a relayer at all. So it seems likely that they didn't have the private keys and instead just had the 7702 auth signatures, which must have been phished somehow. I think we can go ahead and assume DPRK.

I wanted to take a moment to post about communications and transparency. Over the past week, my colleagues and I have spent a lot of time reading the questions, feedback, and criticism that you have shared.  Thank you for your passion, and for your belief in Metaplanet. One thing that has become clear is that we have not done a good enough job of explaining how our structure and decisions are designed to create long-term value for all shareholders. We can do better, and we will.  It has also become clear that while opinions differ, we all want the same thing: for company leadership and shareholder interests to be aligned in creating as much long-term value as possible, and for Metaplanet to operate with the highest standards of transparency and governance.  Through this lens, we announced several significant changes to the 10th Series stock acquisition rights on August 18, including eliminating the adjustment provision, fixing the share count, and implementing additional alignment measures. We are continuing to review our governance and compensation policies and will share any updates when that work is complete. Separately, I’d like to clarify details regarding the structure of MMXX Ventures. The basic facts are these: MMXX is a shareholder in Metaplanet, and I am a significant but non-majority shareholder of its parent company. I am neither a director nor officer of MMXX, and have no role in its investment or trading decisions. What I can speak to, and will, are the decisions made at Metaplanet. Bottom line: going forward, you should expect to hear more from us around the decisions we make and how they shape the future of the company.  Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to engage.

CryptoBilis update We've been made aware, through responsible disclosure, of a single hardware implant in a Trezor Safe 5 device bought from the reseller CryptoBilis in August 2026. No CryptoBilis buyer has reported a loss of funds to us. IMPORTANT: If you bought a Trezor from CryptoBilis from March 2026 onwards, we know this is unsettling. Here’s what to do: Already using it? Move your funds to a newly created wallet with a new seed as soon as possible. Do not reuse the old seed in any wallet, hardware or software. If you don’t have another secure hardware wallet available, we recommend temporarily migrating your funds to a software wallet or an exchange you are familiar with. Not set up yet? Don’t set it up, and never enter your existing wallet backup on it. We haven’t received the device to confirm this report, but based on the customer’s description, we’re treating it as credible and sharing it now so customers who purchased a Trezor via CryptoBilis can secure their funds as a precaution. Our security team will examine the device as soon as it arrives. On October 9, 2026, we removed CryptoBilis as a reseller following reports of tampered Ledger devices sold through it. Since then, we have been inspecting Trezor devices that customers bought from CryptoBilis and have found no signs of tampering on any of the four devices we’ve received so far. NEVER share your wallet backup (recovery phrase) with anyone. Trezor Support will never ask for it. If you are affected by this incident, please keep your CryptoBilis device and contact Support to receive a new Trezor hardware wallet: https://t.co/5EasOVDDQh We're investigating and will post updates here as soon as we know more. Thank you to the customer who reported this through our responsible disclosure program, and to @SEAL_911 for working alongside our teams on the response. Reports and engagement like this help us protect everyone else. For more information, visit our blog: https://t.co/2LmFV8L2oe

Binance hot wallets lost ~$6.28B across 8 chains today. $6.07B went in the first 55 minutes, and the attacker kept re-sweeping one Ethereum wallet for two more hours. Since then Tether, Circle, Ripple, Paxos, World Liberty and Binance have frozen ~$2.80B. About $3.27B can still move, mostly BTC and ETH. I traced it all on-chain, including how the attacker raced the freezes 🧵

BLOCKSTREAM TELLS “WHITEHAT” HACKERS BUG IS FIXED, SAFE TO RETURN 4,000 BTC The hackers who withdrew roughly 4,000 BTC from Liquid told Blockstream they would return the funds, but only after the vulnerability was fixed. The entire negotiation has played out publicly through Bitcoin OP_RETURN messages. The hackers initially offered to send “most” of the BTC back, before changing course: “Please fix the bug first. The chain is under risk at latest commit right now. Make sure every node is patched. Then we will transfer the money back safely after confirming the fix.” They also sent Blockstream encrypted details about the vulnerability. Now, roughly two hours ago, Blockstream responded with a PGP-signed OP_RETURN message: “Bridge nodes are patched, safe to return the funds.” 3,998.5 BTC remain in the hackers’ control. The ball is now back in their court.

Ranked by total interactions across everything we have tracked for this account, which is a longer history than the 30-day window the rates above use. The multiple compares each post to this account's own median.

Buy or sell Twitter (X) accounts - escrow-protected

Reading these numbers

What is Bitcoin News's engagement rate on X?
Bitcoin News (@BitcoinNewsCom) has an engagement rate of 0.026%, based on the median interactions across 50 original posts from the last 30 days against 265,463 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.026%, Bitcoin News sits above the 25th percentile of the 218,281 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @BitcoinNewsCom have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 36% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,624 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @BitcoinNewsCom post?
Most posts go out around 12:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.4 posts per day across the measured window.
