@FBI - 4.0M followers on X
Measured over 116 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on September 1, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 456 interactions against 4.0M followers, an engagement rate of 0.011%. Measured over 116 original posts, its engagement rate beats 47% of 4,084 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 41K times each, and 1.10% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 1.04% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 6.2 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 70% of days. Most posts go out around 22:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 116 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video and 74% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 11K interactions, about 24x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #fbi, #fbiwfo, #icymi.

Compared with accounts its own size
FBI's engagement rate beats 47% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (4,084 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 58% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.011%, FBI sits above the 10th percentile of the 39,541 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.013%.

CASE UPDATE from @FBIPortland: Man Posing as San Francisco 49er Charged with Defrauding Over Two Dozen Women Out of More than $1.3 Million Beginning in February 2022, Daejon Labrayae Love, 35, and Taylor Jamie Chan, 18, created fictitious investments to defraud numerous women in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and California. Love met most of the women on the internet through dating apps. Love falsely portrayed himself as legitimately wealthy, often as an NFL player for the San Francisco 49ers or as a wealthy real estate investor. Chan falsely posed as Love’s financial adviser to further gain their victims’ trust. The scheme lasted until the day of Love and Chan’s arrests on August 24. .@POTUS “We have the best crime record in recorded history. Think about this: 10,000 fewer rapes than the year before, and 1 million fewer assaults, robberies, burglaries, and thefts. Every single major crime category is at its lowest level in recorded history.” https://t.co/z5tzIDP07w

The FBI is adding another Most Wanted Fugitive to our Top Ten list, after the recent historic success of Ten Most Wanted manhunts – EIGHT captures in 18 months , TWICE as many as the total number captured in the previous four years combined. Today’s announced subject: GREGORY HENDERSON, JR. – on the run since September of 2025 – wanted for his alleged involvement in drug trafficking and animal fighting conspiracies as the alleged leader of a violent neighborhood-based gang located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The gang is affiliated with the Gangster Disciples – which has significant drug distribution ties to the Sinaloa Cartel. Henderson, Jr. was allegedly involved in the distribution of a variety of narcotics to include cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine into the Indianapolis community as well as the surrounding Midwest region. He was also allegedly engaged in a dog fighting criminal enterprise that resulted in the severe abuse and death of numerous dogs. Henderson Jr. has been charged with Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and to Distribute Controlled Substances, Conspiracy to Launder Monetary Instruments, and Conspiracy to Engage in an Animal Fighting Venture. This case is led out of @FBIIndianapolis – and the @FBI is offering a reward of $1 million for information leading to Henderson Jr.’s arrest. If anyone has information as to his whereabouts, call 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit https://t.co/m55w5cqC7Y

In the field with our @FBINorfolk team - great team doing tremendous work crushing violent crime and defending the homeland. Violent crime in VA is down 10% since 2024 - FBI Norfolk alone had a 344% increase in violent crime arrests last year, 60% increase in violent crime against children arrests, and a 3,600% increase in cocaine seizures. They recently secured three significant guilty pleas including a domestic violence case, a sexual exploitation case involving a minor child in June, and a major mail fraud case. Thanks to the team for hosting us. This FBI continues to break down the DC bureaucracy and put resources back out in the field in real America to deliver results.

In the field with @FBIAlbuquerque – results for this FBI keep coming across America. Fentanyl and OD deaths in the nearby community dropped by over 75% thanks to an HSTF case out of this region seizing 80,000+ fentanyl pills and 29,000 grams of meth. They’re dismantling violent criminal networks, including one high profile 764 case in trial this month and taking down multiple serial killer networks. In February of this year they secured over a dozen guilty pleas in a local public corruption case. And they’re doing outstanding work partnering with Indian country – recently including a breakthrough in a cold case homicide out of the Navajo Nation reservation as part of Operation Not Forgotten. Thanks to team Albuquerque for hosting -DKP🇺🇸

- What is FBI's engagement rate on X?
- FBI (@FBI) has an engagement rate of 0.011%, based on the median interactions across 116 original posts from the last 30 days against 3,995,525 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.011%, FBI sits above the 10th percentile of the 39,541 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @FBI have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 47% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (4,084 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @FBI post?
- Most posts go out around 22:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 6.2 posts per day across the measured window.
