Early reading. We have captured 6 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.

A typical post picks up 21K interactions against 755K followers, an engagement rate of 2.73%. Posts are seen about 844K times each, and 2.44% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 111.8% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.3 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 27% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 00:00 UTC, and Sunday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 6 posts sampled, 67% carry an image or video, 17% are part of a thread and 17% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 114K interactions, about 5.5x its own typical post. Only 6 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 36,654 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 106,977 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 00:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

We’re planning another USA trip this fall!🇺🇸 It’s going to be a road trip with college football as the main focus, but we’re also planning to check out plenty of other sports and unique American events. The idea for this trip actually came from our visits to a few colleges on the last trip. Everyone told us how crazy it gets on gamedays, so now we want to experience it ourselves. Now we need your expertise: Which colleges should we visit? What games are interesting? And what other events or activities (also non sporting related) are worth checking out in September/October? So far we have these on our list: - Oktoberfest in Helen, GA - Texas State Fair - Breeders' Cup in Kentucky

Our first MLS game ever. Nashville against Atlanta. We had regular seats, but then the owner of the club invited us up to his suite to watch the game there. It‘s so insane how nice everyone has been to us in this country.🇺🇸 https://t.co/gl4BsLBv7V

We’re watching the France vs Spain match with very nice people here in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee who invited us to their ranch. Later we might shoot some guns. https://t.co/vIsgu89790

Tennessee❤️ When people told us at the beginning of our road trip that people in the South are different, we didn’t really know what they meant. But after spending several weeks here, we finally understand. The hospitality here is just something else. Everyone knows everyone, and it feels like people are living one big shared life. Someone is always stopping by, doors are always open, and everyone is welcome. One guy told us he hasn’t locked his house in 23 years. When we were out on the lake, we met some people who immediately invited us to their lake house to hang out. They offered us drinks, chicken wings, and made us feel completely at home. It’s a kind of hospitality I’ve never experienced before. When we got back to the dock late that night, one of the guys on the boat said something that really stuck with me: “You don’t have to live in some big, exciting city. What matters is the people who live there. That’s what makes you happy. I’ve lived in many places around the world, but nothing comes close to Ocoee, Tennessee. And you know the best part about living here? We’re going to do the exact same thing again tomorrow.” We will be back.

Now that the trip is almost over, I want to answer one of the questions we’ve been asked the most: “How are you guys able to afford a trip like this?” The answer is actually pretty simple. We saved up for this trip over the past year, and it wasn’t nearly as expensive as most people probably assume. We stayed mostly in budget hotels, and always split the cost between the three of us. Our flight to the US was also only 255€ for example. The biggest expenses were the rental cars and World Cup tickets. In total the 6 weeks here with everything combined probably cost around 6-7k (It‘s probably 6k but since we also saved money thanks to invitations like the hotel stay in Houston, let‘s say it would’ve been around 7k). I know that’s still a lot of money, but it’s nowhere near what some people seemed to think we were spending. We met other World Cup tourists who told us their trips cost more than $40,000. If you‘re ok with not living in luxury than travelling doesn‘t need to be this expensive. I’ll calculate the exact total once I’m back home.
