जिस संघर्ष ने इतिहास रचा, आज उसके 11 वर्ष पाटीदार क्रांति दिवस की सभी पाटीदार भाई-बहनों को हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ। आज का दिन केवल एक आंदोलन की स्मृति नहीं, बल्कि समाज के आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्ग के अधिकार, संघर्ष और एकता की गाथा है। गुजरात के गरीब और आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर पाटीदार समाज को शिक्षा एवं सरकारी नौकरियों में अवसर मिलें, इसी उद्देश्य से आज से 11 वर्ष पूर्व इसी दिन पाटीदार आंदोलन की शुरुआत हुई थी। लगभग तीन वर्षों के लंबे संघर्ष, अनेक बलिदानों और असंख्य युवाओं की मेहनत के बाद इस संघर्ष के परिणामस्वरूप पाटीदार समाज सहित आरक्षण से वंचित अनेक समाजों को महत्वपूर्ण योजनाएँ और अवसर प्राप्त हुए। बिनअनामत आयोग एवं निगम का गठन, मुख्यमंत्री युवा स्वावलंबन योजना के अंतर्गत प्रतिवर्ष ₹1,000 करोड़ का प्रावधान तथा सरकारी नौकरी में आयु सीमा में पाँच वर्ष की छूट जैसे महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय हुए। इसके बाद देश के इतिहास में पहली बार गुजरात सहित पूरे देश में पाटीदार समाज समेत 50 से अधिक समाजों को आर्थिक आधार पर 10% EWS आरक्षण का लाभ मिला। आज भी लगभग हर दिन किसी न किसी युवा का फोन आता है और वह कहता है— “हार्दिकभाई, आपने जो आंदोलन किया, उसकी वजह से मुझे नौकरी मिली।” या फिर— “मुझे शिक्षा में एडमिशन मिला।” ये शब्द मेरे लिए किसी भी पद या सम्मान से कहीं अधिक बड़े हैं। क्योंकि यह लड़ाई किसी एक व्यक्ति की नहीं थी; यह लड़ाई समाज के गरीब और जरूरतमंद परिवारों के भविष्य के लिए थी। इस संघर्ष में अनेक लोगों ने बहुत कुछ खोया। किसी ने अपने परिवार के सदस्यों को खोया, अनेक युवाओं पर मुकदमे हुए और मेरे सहित करीब 20 युवाओं ने अपने जीवन के कई महीने जेल में बिताए। जेल जाना मुझे आज भी किसी तरह का दुख नहीं देता। लेकिन आंदोलन के दौरान अपने प्राण गंवाने वाले हमारे नौजवानों की याद आज भी हृदय को व्यथित करती है। उनके बलिदान को कभी भुलाया नहीं जा सकता। साथ ही, आंदोलन के परिणामस्वरूप समाज के युवाओं और परिवारों को मिले अवसरों को देखकर संतोष और गर्व की अनुभूति भी होती है। यह आंदोलन किसी एक व्यक्ति का नहीं था। यह पूरे पाटीदार समाज की एकता, शक्ति और संघर्ष का परिणाम था। इतिहास इस आंदोलन को और इसमें योगदान देने वाले प्रत्येक समाजबंधु को सदैव याद रखेगा। गुजरात के सभी युवा पाटीदार भाई-बहनों एवं पाटीदार परिवारों को पाटीदार क्रांति दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ। शहीद पाटीदार युवाओं को शत-शत नमन एवं भावपूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि। 🙏 मेरी सभी से विनम्र अपील है कि इस संघर्ष के परिणामस्वरूप प्राप्त योजनाओं, EWS आरक्षण तथा बिनअनामत आयोग-निगम की सुविधाओं का उचित लाभ लेकर अपने भविष्य को और मजबूत बनाएँ। संघर्ष हमारा था, सफलता पूरे समाज की है। एकता, अधिकार और आत्मसम्मान की यह यात्रा निरंतर चलती रहे।

लोकतंत्र में आंदोलन अधिकार है, लेकिन आंदोलन को भटकाना अधिकार नहीं। विपक्ष ने समाधान के बजाय राजनीतिक लाभ के लिए आंदोलन को गलत दिशा देने का प्रयास किया। लोकतंत्र संवाद से मजबूत होता है, भटकाव से नहीं।
