Indian Oil Corp Ltd engagement report
@IndianOilcl - 457K followers on X
Measured over 33 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on August 29, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 35 interactions against 457K followers, an engagement rate of 0.008%. Measured over 33 original posts, its engagement rate beats 27% of 3,899 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 4.3K times each, and 0.818% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 0.936% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.4 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 40% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 08:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 33 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video and 12% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 121 interactions, about 3.5x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #indianoil, #67thindianoilday, #chhotu.

Compared with accounts its own size
Indian Oil Corp Ltd's engagement rate beats 27% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,899 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 45% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.008%, Indian Oil Corp Ltd sits above the 10th percentile of the 37,701 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.012%.

A stronger foothold in Mauritius’ growing maritime energy landscape. Hon’ble Minister for P&NG, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri laid the foundation stone for IndianOil (Mauritius) Ltd.’s new 27.5 TMT bunker fuel storage facility at MAP Land in Mer Rouge, Mauritius today. With an investment of USD 25 million, the facility will significantly boost IOML’s bunkering capabilities and Mauritius’ ambitions as a strategic bunkering hub. As Mauritius charts new horizons in its Blue Economy, IndianOil is proud to power the journey ahead. @HardeepSPuri @PetroleumMin @Secretary_MoPNG @neerajmittalias @ChairmanIOCL @sahneyas

Revisiting 1962, when a new chapter in India’s energy journey began. At Anjar, Gujarat, IndianOil’s first fuel station marked the beginning of a legacy built on accessibility, innovation and service to the nation. From that first station to a network of 43,000+ outlets across the country, the journey has grown with India, powering movement, enabling connectivity and supporting the nation’s progress. A milestone that shaped our past. A legacy that continues to fuel the future. #Throwback #IndianOil #LegacyOfProgress #FuelingIndia #Since1962 @HardeepSPuri @PetroleumMin @Secretary_MoPNG @neerajmittalias @ChairmanIOCL @sahneyas

In 1960, IndianOil took over the Antop Hill oil installation in Mumbai from the Indian Army, marking the start of its marketing operations. Beginning with just three installations—Antop Hill in Mumbai, Willingdon Island in Kerala, and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh—IndianOil laid the foundation of a strong nationwide oil marketing network. What began as a strategic handover soon grew into an expansive infrastructure that has continued to fuel India’s progress—then, now, and for generations to come. #IndianOil #FuelingIndia #Throwback #IndianOilDay2026 @HardeepSPuri @PetroleumMin @Secretary_MoPNG @neerajmittalias @ChairmanIOCL @sahneyas

As India and Mauritius enter a new era of structured, long-term energy cooperation, IndianOil is proud to take on a key role in translating this landmark G2G framework into action. Together with State Trading Corporation (STC), Mauritius, IndianOil will work towards long-term business arrangements for petroleum product supplies — while the larger partnership opens new avenues across gas, biofuels, sustainability and emerging energy solutions. #IndianOil #IndiaMauritius #EnergySecurity #EnergyPartnership #NationFirst @HardeepSPuri @PetroleumMin @Secretary_MoPNG @neerajmittalias @ChairmanIOCL @sahneyas

A moment that changed India’s energy landscape forever. Throwing it back to 17 August 1960, when Mr B. Arora, IndianOil’s first Managing Director, opened the valve for the unloading of the inaugural red oil cargo. The Soviet tanker MV Uzhgorod arrived at Mumbai’s Pir Pau jetty with 11,390 tonnes of diesel, marking IndianOil’s bold entry into the petroleum market. And the impact was immediate. IndianOil’s entry challenged the dominance of foreign oil majors, compelling them to slash diesel prices for bulk users by as much as ₹8.80 to ₹35 per KL. A first step that made a lasting difference to India’s energy journey. #Throwback #IndianOil #IndianOilHistory #EnergyStory #IndianOilDay @HardeepSPuri @PetroleumMin @Secretary_MoPNG @neerajmittalias @ChairmanIOCL @sahneyas

For an IOCian, #IndianOil may begin as a workplace. But somewhere along the way, it becomes part of family conversations, memories and even the world their children grow up knowing. And when that sense of pride finds a voice this young, you know the bond goes well beyond a job. As we count down to the 67th IndianOil Day, here’s one of the sweetest #VoiceOfIndianOil wishes straight from the heart of the #IndianOilfamily. #IndianOilDay2026 #VoiceOfIndianOil #IndianOilFamily #67YearsOfIndianOil #IndianOil @HardeepSPuri @PetroleumMin @Secretary_MoPNG @neerajmittalias @ChairmanIOCL @sahneyas

- What is Indian Oil Corp Ltd's engagement rate on X?
- Indian Oil Corp Ltd (@IndianOilcl) has an engagement rate of 0.008%, based on the median interactions across 33 original posts from the last 30 days against 456,761 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.008%, Indian Oil Corp Ltd sits above the 10th percentile of the 37,701 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @IndianOilcl have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 27% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,899 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @IndianOilcl post?
- Most posts go out around 08:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.37 posts per day across the measured window.
