A typical post picks up 427 interactions against 470K followers, an engagement rate of 0.091%. Measured over 21 original posts, its engagement rate beats 66% of 3,882 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 15K times each, and 2.86% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.18% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.1 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 27% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 03:00 UTC, and Saturday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 21 posts sampled, 38% carry an image or video and 14% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 3.2K interactions, about 7.5x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Jairam Ramesh's engagement rate beats 66% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,882 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 80% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.091%, Jairam Ramesh sits above the 50th percentile of the 37,459 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.081% to 0.438%.

In finance terminology, when creditors are owed money and the debtor repays only part of it, the difference expressed as a percentage is called a haircut. The National Company Law Tribunal has just approved a repayment plan of a noted businessman under which creditors will receive only Rs 6.5 crores against admitted claims of around Rs 22,006.57 crore. This is not just a haircut. It is actually a mundan and makes a complete mockery of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

The All India Bank Employees Association has revealed, through publicly available data, how public sector banks that had claims of about Rs 62,000 crores from 10 financially stressed companies have been made to settle for just Rs 16,000 crores after the non-biological PM's favourite business group took over these 10 companies. In the colourful language of finance, this is a 74% 'haircut' taken by the banks.

In Unnao, during an event, the national anthem was being played. UP Assembly Speaker from the ruling party simply walked away. Now the question is simple. How many channels will hold a debate on this insult to the national anthem? This is the classic selective outrage of Godi media. When an opposition party takes a principled stand on Vande Mataram , rooted in historical consensus , the entire machinery of Godi media and the ruling party erupts in manufactured rage. But when the Speaker of a state belonging to a rulling party openly disrespects the national anthem, there is pin-drop silence. Hypocrisy has never been quieter.

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha @RahulGandhi at the Chhatron ki Goonj event in Kota on June 17th 2026 raised one of the most important issues in education today - that an extractive coaching industry has supplanted the public education system and that Indian families are now spending 2.5 times more on coaching centres than the Govt of India invests in education. It was this disclosure that forced the Prime Minister - in a desperate attempt to escape growing public pressure - to announce free online coaching for students on 15th August. But his Government’s track record hardly inspires any confidence. Its existing Free Coaching scheme has been missing its target for 3 years. The Ministry of Social Justice was to enrol 10,500 candidates for free coaching over 3 years, but it has only only enrolled 2,790 students - just 26% of the target. The budget for this scheme has reduced every year and last year’s spending was less than half the budget. These startling facts have been revealed in the latest report of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment tabled on Aug 10,2026. Rather than fundamentally fix India’s broken education system or re-invest in public education, the Prime Minister has decided to instead invest public resources in online coaching. It is an accountability-evading gimmick and this Government has already shown little capacity to implement this scheme successfully.

On July 4 2025, the Deputy Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen Rahul Singh had revealed the very disturbingly deep nature of the Pakistan-China jugalbandi during Operation Sindoor. On Aug 25, 2026, the former Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Anil Chauhan made his own revelations on this jugalbandi - which are simply opposite to what Lt. Gen Singh had said. The nation is confused. What is going on here? Is there some deeper plan to change the narrative? Is this part of the calibrated capitulation to China on the part of the Modi Govt that has been in clear evidence for a long while since the PM's infamous clean chit to China on June 2020 and the record trade deficits with China that his Government has presided over? The nation needs to know.

The Chief Minister of Maharashtra has apparently protested to the Prime Minister that the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) is biased heavily in favour of private power companies. The major recipient of APTEL’s favours in Maharashtra in 2025 and 2026 has been the Modani conglomerate. At least 4 cases have been decided in its favour. But the Maharashtra Govt has itself bent over backwards to favour Modani not only in power projects but also in real estate development projects like at Dharavi. The CM’s sudden ire at Modani is full of hypocrisy. His complaint to the PM seems to have been triggered by an APTEL decision in favour of another private company JSW. If he means what he says, the CM should be questioning all the earlier decisions that have benefited Modani at the expense of the state government and consumers

There have been news reports in the past couple of days on ISRO’s future role in our country’s space programme. This has raised legitimate concerns given its capacities, capabilities, and competencies built up so methodically and painstakingly over the past six decades thanks to the vision, dedication, and leadership of Vikram Sarabhai, Satish Dhawan, Brahm Prakash, UR Rao, APJ Abdul Kalam, and so many other distinguished scientists and technologists. It is abundantly clear that like in nuclear energy, the Modi Govt has an aggressive privatisation agenda for the space programme as well. The motivation is clearly coming from the PM and his PMO itself. ISRO’s presence in rocket development and manufacture is to be severely limited and much of its satellite-related assets are to be transferred lock, stock, and barrel to private companies. It will also be handing over to a private company the second spaceport coming up in Tamil Nadu for which it is investing something like Rs 1000 crores. Given the winds of change, the future of the historic Sriharikota spaceport in Andhra Pradesh is itself anybody’s guess. ISRO has done India enormously proud and the Prime Minister himself has basked in the glory of its achievements on multiple occasions. Space startups certainly deserve encouragement and support. But why should ISRO, which has for long had productive partnerships with the private sector, now be strangulated and emasculated? Already, in the past few months 100-120 key ISRO professionals have quit, perhaps seeing the writing on the wall. It is noteworthy that a distinguished former ISRO Chairman who had joined the BJP in Oct 2018 after having been inspired by the PM has also just expressed his serious doubts on the new privatisation drive involving ISRO. Why don’t the five other living eminent Chairmen also speak out on this vital issue? https://t.co/Ha92DJmFA8

Reading these numbers

A typical post picks up 427 interactions against 470K followers, an engagement rate of 0.091%. What is Jairam Ramesh's engagement rate on X?
Jairam Ramesh (@Jairam_Ramesh) has an engagement rate of 0.091%, based on the median interactions across 21 original posts from the last 30 days against 469,656 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.091%, Jairam Ramesh sits above the 50th percentile of the 37,459 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @Jairam_Ramesh have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 66% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,882 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @Jairam_Ramesh post?
Most posts go out around 03:00 UTC, and Saturday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.07 posts per day across the measured window.
