James O'Keefe engagement report
@JamesOKeefeIII - 3.6M followers on X
Measured over 56 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on August 31, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 7.7K interactions against 3.6M followers, an engagement rate of 0.216%. Measured over 56 original posts, its engagement rate beats 93% of 3,758 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 165K times each, and 4.68% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 4.62% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 7.7 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 63% of days. Most posts go out around 18:00 UTC, and Friday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 56 posts sampled, 79% carry an image or video, 5% are part of a thread and 38% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 112K interactions, about 15x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
James O'Keefe's engagement rate beats 93% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,758 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 94% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.216%, James O'Keefe sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,261 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.08% to 0.431%.

This account posts most often around 18:00 UTC, and Friday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

CAUGHT INSIDE MINNEAPOLIS POLLING BOOTHS: Minnesota Poll Workers Tell O’Keefe, Dressed in Muslim Garb, & @camhigby, in a Burka, That They Can Vouch for Eight Unregistered Voters Without ID, Allowing Them to Vote in Minnesota Primary Election Election worker says, “You’re the ID,” referring to the registered voter serving as identification for the people they are vouching for. Election worker confirms O’Keefe’s question about unregistered voters being vouched for: “I can vouch for them. They are not registered… That’s okay. That’s fine. Yeah!” Election worker explains that a registered voter in the same precinct can vouch for up to eight people: “If you’re all in the same precinct and you are already registered, you can vouch for them as ID. Eight people.” More reports coming soon from the Justice League. @realmuckraker @anthonyjrubin @camhigby @ctznjusticelg

The Secretary of State in MN @MNSteveSimon is threatening us for exposing the truth on their broken vouching system. In response, the next member of the Justice League @anthonyjrubin will be releasing more evidence from @realmuckraker tomorrow. I’ve been threatened with arrest more times than I can count. What I’ve learned in 20 years of doing this you CANNOT stop a man in the right who keeps on coming.

Local Minnesota TV news @KSTP is attacking us and editing out the worst parts of our tape “You are the ID.” They’re also acting as an arm of the Secretary of State, who is clearly embarrassed. Also, they refuse to say my name. https://t.co/QN1S7Ydm3F

🚨 HOLY SMOKES. Sen. Lisa Murkowski's team is absolutely livid and now threatening to file a legal complaint to the Alaska Division of Elections and Law Department, simply because James O'Keefe's team EXPOSED election vulnerabilities They were gonna let O'Keefe vote as Murkowski's BROTHER, and one of his team members vote as Murkowski's State Director 🤯 The workers confirmed it: You don't need ID, just promise us you are who you say you are... NEITHER of them actually went through with voting or signing forms. Worth noting that Murkowski, who is now worried about "voter fraud," IS BLOCKING THE SAVE AMERICA ACT MURKOWSKI STATE DIRECTOR: "I will happily include it in my complaint to the Division of Elections and the Department of Law." 🤡 You are doing America a service, @JamesOKeefeIII 👏🏻

🚨 MINNESOTA SECRETARY OF STATE CAUGHT IN DEVASTATING LIE: He implies that I lied in my video, saying a person vouched for at Minnesota polling sites would need to prove Identity. In fact the opposite is true. Below are screenshots of the election judge training handbook. https://t.co/DIkCKnqY2X

🚨🚨 My TikTok account was just PERMA BANNED me after I posted 2 clips from my burqa report in Minneapolis. TikTok says the videos were ELECTION MISINFORMATION. Yesterday I received a warning saying my account was at risk, I never posted again and today it was banned at 780k. This is very saddening as my account was verified and I have worked with TikTok corporate and politicians to prevent the app from being banned in the name of free speech. I built a strong relationship with the company, today that company chose to ban ME. I was also banned from the platform in 2021 on Biden’s Inauguration Day when the app was my primary income. TikTok repeatedly told me that I didn’t violate their guidelines. My account would be unbanned, and then banned again a week later repeatedly until it was wiped from the system.

Um, why is Steve Simon @MNSecofState THREATENING @camhigby and me when the election worker said “You are the ID.” Clearly some election officials told us we could vouch for eight people.

- What is James O'Keefe's engagement rate on X?
- James O'Keefe (@JamesOKeefeIII) has an engagement rate of 0.216%, based on the median interactions across 56 original posts from the last 30 days against 3,576,509 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.216%, James O'Keefe sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,261 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @JamesOKeefeIII have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 93% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,758 accounts), which puts it in the top 10% for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @JamesOKeefeIII post?
- Most posts go out around 18:00 UTC, and Friday is its busiest day, at roughly 7.7 posts per day across the measured window.
