A typical post picks up 58 interactions against 2.9M followers, an engagement rate of 0.002%. Measured over 20 original posts, its engagement rate beats 24% of 3,774 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 83K times each, and 0.071% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.84% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.67 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 60% of days. Most posts go out around 18:00 UTC, and Sunday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 20 posts sampled, 95% carry an image or video and 75% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 2.3K interactions, about 40x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #comedy, #standup, #comedian.

Compared with accounts its own size

John Bishop's engagement rate beats 24% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,774 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 5% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.002%, John Bishop sits above the 10th percentile of the 36,654 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.012%.

This is a picture of 3 football legends on my Dads kitchen wall. My uncle Freddie is my Dads twin brother and managed many of the Sunday league teams I first played in. We were at Freddie’s funeral yesterday, reminiscing about his love of the game when news came through about Kevin Keegan. Kevin was a football hero to me and I have been lucky enough to meet him on a number of occasions. He was such a gracious humble man who made everyone feel important. He made meeting your heroes seem easy. On the right is my Dad. My biggest hero. Rest in peace, both Kevin and Freddie 🙏

In July 2023 I took the scooter, left to me by father-in-law, from Brittany to Mallorca. I had never ridden a motorcycle any distance before… which is why I am dressed like I have nipped out for a baguette… but it inspired me to get my full license. Yesterday I rode the same N260 road through the Pyrenees on a @bmwmotorrad GS1300 in the heat, wishing I was wearing shorts! How it started…… how its going 😊🏍️ #comedy #motorbike #bmwgs1300 #pyrenées

This picture sums up Neil Reading, who we lost yesterday. His official title was my PR manager, but he was so much more and for over a decade he has done exactly what he was doing in this picture - making sure everything was right and having my back. I never knew who his other clients were until I saw so many posts today, because he was so confidential. He was kind, gentle, humble and tough. He also had a level of loyalty and grace often missing in this profession. So many of us will miss his guidance and counsel but my heart goes to his family who will miss his love. A gentleman in a landscape where you expect the opposite. I feel privileged to have known him. Thank you Neil 🙏

What is John Bishop's engagement rate on X?
John Bishop (@JohnBishop100) has an engagement rate of 0.002%, based on the median interactions across 20 original posts from the last 30 days against 2,914,910 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.002%, John Bishop sits above the 10th percentile of the 36,654 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @JohnBishop100 have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 24% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,774 accounts), which puts it in the bottom quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @JohnBishop100 post?
Most posts go out around 18:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.67 posts per day across the measured window.
