This time, he appears even more determined to use his position for personal gain, regardless of the damage his actions may cause to the market and the wider industry.

This Majlis is not only incompetent but also truly illiterate. @MMuizzu’s government has driven this nation to the brink of economic collapse. Now, either Muizzu is foolish enough to believe that banning media reports on the dollar market will somehow resolve the dollar shortage, or he is living in a fantasy world. I see nothing positive coming from this latest attack on press freedom and attempt to suppress reporting on the dollar market. It will only plunge the country into greater uncertainty and expose us to further ridicule from our neighbours. The dollar shortage is a reality. The government cannot make it disappear through authoritarian laws or by silencing the media. As long as there is a shortage, demand will remain, whether you handcuff every citizen of this country or not. The problem lies with you, Muizzu. Your government, your team and your policies have brought this country dangerously close to economic disaster.
