आपल्या मराठी भाषेला एक नवीन शत्रू तयार होतोय. "एआय" सोशल मीडियासाठी एआय वापरुन मोठ्या प्रमाणावर डिजिटल साहित्य तयार केले जात आहे. पण त्यातल्या मराठी लिखाणात असंख्य चुका असतात. त्यात कधी व्याकरणाच्या चुका असतात, कधी वाक्ये पूर्ण केलेली नसतात, कधी वाक्ये अशी लिहिलेली असतात की ज्यांचा अर्थच लागत. वाक्यरचना इंग्रजीसारखी थोडक्यात, तोडकी मोडकी असते. नाम, विशेषण, क्रियापद यांचा क्रम सर्रास चुकवलेला असतो. हे प्रकार तुम्हालाही अनेकदा दिसत असतील. इथेच खरी गोम आहे, एआय चुकीचे लिहितो आहे, तेच हळू हळू रूढ होत जाईल आणि मराठी भाषा लिखाणात चुकीचा पायंडा तयार होईल. त्यात भरिसभर म्हणजे आपली नवीन पिढी, जी बहुतेक इंग्रजी माध्यमात शिकते, ती अधिकृत मराठी भाषा शिकलेली नाही. त्यामुळे काय चूक आणि काय बरोबर हे त्यांना आकलन होणे अवघड आहे. एआय ने लिहून दिलेलं चुकीचं असलं तरी त्यांना लक्षात येत नाही आणि तोच प्रकार हळूहळू रूढ होत जातो. इतके दिवस आपण वापरतो ते फोनेटिक कळफलक, युनिकोड यांनी मिळून मराठी लिखाणात ऱ्हस्व-दीर्घ यांची खूप भेसळ केलेली आहेच, त्यात आता एआय निर्मित मराठी भाषा, इंग्रजी लिहिल्यासारखी तुटक तुटक लिहून तिचे सौन्दर्य संपत चालले आहे. शब्द-खजिन्याने संपन्न आपली मराठी भाषा, तिच्या लिखाणात एक लय आहे, एक ठसका आहे, तिचे एक सौन्दर्य आहे. ते हळू हळू संपत जाते की काय अशी भीती मला वाटते. तंत्रज्ञानाच्या युगात आपण एआयलाही आपली भाषा, योग्य प्रकारे लिहायला शिकवायला पाहिजे, नसता आपली भाषा कधी ऱ्हास पावेल सांगता येणार नाही. हे एआय वापरुन, चुकीची मराठी लिखाणात आणून आपणच आपल्या भाषेची ओळख तर पुसत नाही ना?
