Heute wäre mein Vater 96 Jahre alt geworden. Er war ein starker und selbstbewusster Mann: Maurermeister und selbständiger Bauunternehmer – auch wenn es nur ein kleiner Betrieb war. Für ihn war es immer wichtig, sein eigener Herr und unabhängig zu sein. Dafür hat er rund um die Uhr und auch am Wochenende gearbeitet und geschuftet, wenn es notwendig war. Das war die klassische Nachkriegsgeneration in Deutschland. Zusammen mit meiner Mutter haben unsere Eltern uns Kindern ein gutes Zuhause geboten. Fleiß und Einsatz habe ich sicher von ihnen gelernt. Ob in der Schule oder im Leben: „Ohne Fleiß kein Preis“ war das Motto. Die Generation meines Vaters war weniger empathisch, als wir es heute sind, aber trotzdem hat sie ihre Kinder geliebt und war stolz auf sie. In seinen späten Jahren, als mein Vater bettlägerig war, begannen wir richtig zu reden: über uns, seine Kindheit und das Verhältnis zu seinem Vater (er musste ihn noch siezen!). Diese Generation hat erst spät gelernt, sich zu öffnen – aber nicht zu spät. Ich bin meinen Eltern dankbar für all das, was sie für mich getan haben. Das Rüstzeug, das ich vermittelt bekam, ist heute noch gültig. Je älter ich werde, desto öfter denke ich daran. Gerne hätte ich meinen Vater auch heute noch manchmal um Rat gefragt. Leider geht das nicht mehr. Ich vermisse ihn!

Der Anschlag in #Berlin ist ein Angriff auf unsere Freiheitsidee. Die Umstände werden nun lückenlos ermittelt. Zudem ist klar: Wir müssen bei Gefährdern die Zügel anziehen und das Gesetz überprüfen. Die Menschen haben zurecht kein Verständnis, dass Gefährder frei herumlaufen. Haft sollte zum Regelfall und Bewährung zur Ausnahme werden. Wir müssen prüfen, ob statt dem Jugendstrafrecht grundsätzlich das Erwachsenenstrafrecht angewendet werden kann. Die Polizei braucht mehr Befugnisse zum Einsatz von KI bei der Fahndung. Und Gefährdern mit Doppelpass sollte grundsätzlich die deutsche Staatsbürgerschaft entzogen werden, um sie schnell auszuweisen. Die Sicherheit der Allgemeinheit muss Vorrang haben!
