A typical post picks up 2.7K interactions against 957K followers, an engagement rate of 0.299%. Measured over 9 original posts, its engagement rate beats 88% of 3,758 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 47K times each, and 5.82% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 4.88% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.67 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 40% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 12:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 9 posts sampled, 89% carry an image or video and 11% are part of a thread. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 35K interactions, about 13x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

My name is Byf (Lore Daddy)'s engagement rate beats 88% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,758 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 94% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.299%, My name is Byf (Lore Daddy) sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,521 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.08% to 0.434%.

This account posts most often around 12:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Basically the whole D2 Sandbox team is gone, myself included. The good news is if you liked the way Destiny felt to shoot and play, there’s going to be a lot of great designers in the market looking to help other games step it up.

The last week has been difficult. Please continue to focus on those impacted by the reduction in force. The industry is in a scary place right now employment wise. Wishing the best to all who need it, and hope to help where possible.

I hate what just happened. I planned out my content. I have 10 mainline Destiny videos left to make. I may make the occasional one after that to tie up a loose end. I might look at Project Sunrise, but as far as the main lore is concerned... 10 remain. I'm counting down now.

Next Tuesday we will have a short amount of downtime and background maintenance for Destiny 2. There will be a small download alongside it, but this is not a large patch. We have a minor display fix for expansion pricing in the game. We do not want players, returning or new, to be mislead or confused by incorrect listings in the game, especially when they’re just getting back up to speed with Monument of Triumph and previous expansions. Stay tuned for more details on downtime next week.

It’s been one hell of a ride, y’all. I have been impacted by today’s layoffs. I’m not sure what to say other than thank you so much for being a part of our worlds. I am so beyond grateful to have contributed to a tiny part of them. I hope they inspired you. Ad Astra, Et Ultra. https://t.co/cuKQcu2eB0
