Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani engagement report
@NYCMayor - 2.6M followers on X
Measured over 72 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on August 30, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 3.8K interactions against 2.6M followers, an engagement rate of 0.146%. Measured over 72 original posts, its engagement rate beats 89% of 3,739 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 194K times each, and 1.94% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 7.54% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 3.3 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on almost every day in the window. Most posts go out around 22:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 72 posts sampled, 63% carry an image or video, 11% are part of a thread and 39% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 117K interactions, about 32x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani's engagement rate beats 89% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,739 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 75% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.146%, Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,654 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.08% to 0.433%.

Too many lives have been cut short by high-speed, illegal e-bikes and e-scooters. That’s why we are issuing cease-and-desist orders against 42 online retailers that have been selling these dangerous devices to New York City residents — including Target, Temu, Wayfair, Walmart, and Amazon. I am deeply saddened by the death of a New Yorker in City custody at a jail on Rikers Island early this morning. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they grieve this loss. We do not yet know the cause of death, but we do know that too many New Yorkers have died on Rikers Island. The Department of Correction and its oversight partners will investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. Our administration is fully committed to the critical work of creating better conditions in our city’s jail system and closing Rikers Island as quickly as possible.

- What is Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani's engagement rate on X?
- Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani (@NYCMayor) has an engagement rate of 0.146%, based on the median interactions across 72 original posts from the last 30 days against 2,573,612 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.146%, Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,654 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
