Measured over 29 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on August 26, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 226 interactions against 608K followers, an engagement rate of 0.037%. Measured over 29 original posts, its engagement rate beats 53% of 3,809 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 41K times each, and 0.556% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 6.69% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.4 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 33% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Sunday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 29 posts sampled, 76% carry an image or video, 7% are part of a thread and 7% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 4.4K interactions, about 19x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #readtheroom, #shutupmenaretalking, #10yearsofrmxdvd.

Compared with accounts its own size
Kgopolo's engagement rate beats 53% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,809 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 37% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.037%, Kgopolo sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,852 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.012% to 0.08%.

BRANDS: Thabile Ngwato and Thokozani Nkosi Split The pair has separated as the co-owners of Ngwato Nkosi Group — a media company which owned news channel Newzroom Afrika, kids channel PlayRoom and films channel Movie Room. The split sees Thabile Ngwato retaining the ownership of Newzroom Afrika. Under the new setup, Thokozani Nkosi has opened a new company called The Rooms Network which retains ownership of PlayRoom and MovieRoom. Ngwako Nkosi Group was co-founded by the pair in 2018, initially registered as Ngwato Nkosi Holdings. Subsequently the company successfully bid for MultiChoice's vacant news channel spot and the channel named Newzroom Afrika was launched in 2019. Notable move in this situation is the acquisition of TV rights for Chris Q. Radebe's hit self-funded project, Shut Up Men Are Talking. The acquisition is happening under The Rooms Network, helmed by Thokozani Nkosi. #KgopoloReports

If the SASMAs wanna keep some semblance of credibility they needed to stop this silly thing they are doing. Right now they are not shaking off the scam allegations because what is this list of nominees? Seemingly they just nominate anyone with a big following or attention at the moment. Nasty C has only been a streamer for few months and already he is nominated for being a streamer. I'd be insulted if I was Sonwabile, Amari and Aaron. They have our in the work but Nasty C might win because he has a bigger fan base who don't even care or probaysome won't even know that he is a streamer. Kgante what are these awards celebrating? Skill, talent, impact? Or they just existing to make sure the owners get to make money using known individuals and their fan base. Phela those votes cost money and someone is making bank. PS: No hate to Nasty C, I love a creative that is not afraid to pivot. Hopefully he will grow as a streamer and make waves, but let's be honest, the only reason his streams are getting any attention right now it's because he is Nasty C. He has earned his stripes yet in that lane.

- What is Kgopolo's engagement rate on X?
- Kgopolo (@PhilMphela) has an engagement rate of 0.037%, based on the median interactions across 29 original posts from the last 30 days against 607,561 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.037%, Kgopolo sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,852 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @PhilMphela have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 53% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,809 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @PhilMphela post?
- Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.37 posts per day across the measured window.
