A typical post picks up 8.0K interactions against 4.3M followers, an engagement rate of 0.188%. Measured over 8 original posts, its engagement rate beats 91% of 3,758 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 321K times each, and 2.49% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 7.55% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.3 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 27% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Friday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 8 posts sampled, 63% carry an image or video and 38% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 143K interactions, about 18x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Pi Network's engagement rate beats 91% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,758 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 81% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.188%, Pi Network sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,378 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.08% to 0.432%.

The Pi Founders are featured speakers at Consensus 2026 in Miami this week. Chengdiao Fan will speak on Wednesday, May 6 (11:15–11:35 AM EDT, Convergence Stage) on “Aligning Web3, AI, and Blockchain for Utility,” exploring how Pi’s blockchain infrastructure, verified identity, and globally engaged network can support utility‑driven products and AI‑era business models. Nicolas Kokkalis will join a panel on Thursday, May 7 (10:15–10:45 AM EDT, Convergence Stage) titled “How to Prove You’re Human in an AI World (Without Doxing Yourself),” exploring how the internet’s trust model is breaking as AI systems become capable of creating bots that can generate profiles and interact like real users. Together, these sessions highlight Pi’s approach to the AI era: supporting utility-driven products and sustainable business models through blockchain, verified identity, and a globally engaged network, while enabling global identity verification and providing authenticity solutions through Pi’s native KYC solution. See you there, Pioneers!

Pi Founder Chengdiao Fan spoke today at Consensus 2026 Miami in her session, “Aligning Web3, AI, and Blockchain for Utility.” Dr. Fan shared how Pi’s blockchain infrastructure, identity verification, and a globally engaged network can support utility-driven products and businesses in the AI era. Her talk built on a central challenge in the broader crypto industry: the frequent misalignment between token design and real innovation. While tokens in the industry have often been used primarily as capital-raising tools or quick exits, Dr. Fan discussed Pi’s approach to treat tokens as tools that can support growth, engagement, and long-term utility. Pi’s approach to ecosystem tokens and launch mechanisms focuses on tokens for user acquisition and integrating token design into the product innovation process. By using tokens to help products acquire real users who can engage, provide feedback, and use those tokens within actual product experiences, this approach connects token design more directly to utility and product development. More broadly, Dr. Fan’s talk invited discussion on how blockchain can help shape AI-era business models, financial literacy, ownership, and socioeconomic participation. As AI lowers the barrier to building, the focus shifts toward something harder to replicate: real users, real participation, and trusted human input at scale. Stay tuned for the full session video!

526 million human KYC validation tasks have already been completed on Pi. By over 1 million verified people. AI is advancing quickly. But the hardest part of building reliable systems is still deeply human. Models don’t improve from compute alone. They improve from: Judgment Correction Context Nuance Pi represents something different. A globally distributed, identity-verified human workforce that has already demonstrated coordination at scale, already active in the Pi ecosystem. This is real infrastructure, it’s already been used to process hundreds of millions of real tasks. For AI systems, that changes what’s possible. Go to the Pi mining app home screen to learn more.

Big kudos to Mainnet Node operators for upgrading to v23. Most major Nodes have now been upgraded, and the protocol is expected to move to v23 soon. This was one of the most challenging upgrades to date, as it involved multiple subsystem upgrades and optimizations that required internal data reprocessing. Protocol 22 -> 23, Ubuntu 20 -> 24, PostgreSQL 12 -> 16

The Pi Mainnet is upgrading to Protocol 23 – Deadline: May 15. All Mainnet nodes are required to complete this step before the deadline to remain connected to the network. This upgrade takes longer to complete, so plan accordingly. Details here: https://t.co/9VehO7hhj1

Reading these numbers

A typical post picks up 8.0K interactions against 4.3M followers, an engagement rate of 0.188%. Measured over 8 original posts, its engagement rate beats 91% of 3,758 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 321K times each, and 2.49% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 7.55% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. What is Pi Network's engagement rate on X?
Pi Network (@PiCoreTeam) has an engagement rate of 0.188%, based on the median interactions across 8 original posts from the last 30 days against 4,250,517 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.188%, Pi Network sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,378 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @PiCoreTeam have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 91% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,758 accounts), which puts it in the top 10% for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @PiCoreTeam post?
Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Friday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.3 posts per day across the measured window.
