A typical post picks up 1.5K interactions against 822K followers, an engagement rate of 0.178%. Measured over 46 original posts, its engagement rate beats 81% of 3,739 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 41K times each, and 3.61% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 4.94% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 3.4 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on almost every day in the window. Most posts go out around 12:00 UTC, and Friday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 46 posts sampled, 65% carry an image or video and 7% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 10K interactions, about 7.0x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #breaking, #kanchipuram, #nationalhandloomday.

Compared with accounts its own size

Shefali Vaidya. 🇮🇳's engagement rate beats 81% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,739 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 84% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.178%, Shefali Vaidya. 🇮🇳 sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,521 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.08% to 0.434%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 36,521 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 107,166 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

When I see Sonia Ji, I wonder how a woman who left one world for another, only to be met with such grief, has carried herself with this much composure. She lost her husband in the most tragic way possible, and had her life, her background, and every intention and action picked apart - all while raising two young adults and carrying forward her husband's unfinished political legacy. She stayed, never played the victim, and never let the cruelty or bitterness she experienced define her. She maintained a dignified silence. She led the Congress to two resounding victories in 2004 and 2009. And raised two individuals who are not just intelligent, but kind, principled, humble and resilient. She cannot be reduced to being "the Italian-Indian politician" and "the matriarch of the Gandhi family." She is a strong woman with nerves of steel. And she deserves to be seen as a person. Sonia Ji's memoir, ‘Belonging: A Journey of Love’, releases on November 10, 2026. I hope it lets the world finally meet the human behind the labels.

Today’s @LoksattaLive edit talks about the success of UPI, opens with a Raghuram Rajan quote and gives full credit to Manmohan Singh for the successful implementation of UPI, even though it was rolled out in 2016! The name of @narendramodi govt is NOT mentioned even ONCE. And yet, @BJP4Maharashtra leaders and ministers from @Dev_Fadnavis govt will still give exclusives to @girishkuber!

Good Morning. Here’s some more rape-laundering by RapeNandan Sekhri of RapeLaundry. His sister wasn’t some “editorial oversight” - it was the expected norm “Faye D’Souza proclaimed, “Anything that happens after the word ‘no’ is rape.” That to me is a ridiculous overstatement.” https://t.co/4CE8PIEaFv
