A typical post picks up 70 interactions against 623K followers, an engagement rate of 0.011%. Measured over 27 original posts, its engagement rate beats 35% of 3,829 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 15K times each, and 0.48% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.34% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on almost every day in the window. Most posts go out around 02:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 27 posts sampled, 96% carry an image or video. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 4.6K interactions, about 65x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

West Bengal Police's engagement rate beats 35% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,829 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 33% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.011%, West Bengal Police sits above the 10th percentile of the 37,071 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.012%.

This account posts most often around 02:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Misinformation is being spread across social media about a recent incident in Indas of Bankura district. Here are the facts. On the night of August 13, a group of miscreants allegedly accosted Sk Abdul Hafiz @ Rik at his residence in Indas, Bankura, purportedly in connection with Rik's visit to Karisunda Paschimpara Primary School that morning to enquire about the school's facilities. During the incident, Rik's father Sk Md Mafik sustained a minor injury that required a single stitch. On the morning of August 15, Sk Md Mafik got self-admitted to Burdwan Medical College after experiencing severe blood pressure fluctuations. No life threatening injury was found by doctors who treated him. Sadly, Mafik passed away that night. Following his death, baseless and false claims began circulating online alleging that Mafik had died from a 'brutal physical assault'. Bankura Police launched a thorough investigation and acting on the FIR registered, arrested eight individuals — three named in the initial FIR and five additional suspects — all of whom have been remanded to eight days of police custody. Active manhunts are underway for two remaining absconding suspects, and a police house guard has been placed at Rik’s residence. We request all to refrain from spreading misleading information in this regard, and allow the investigation to proceed. Those spreading rumours will be sternly dealt with as per law.

Reading these numbers

A typical post picks up 70 interactions against 623K followers, an engagement rate of 0.011%. Posts are seen about 15K times each, and 0.48% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.34% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. What is West Bengal Police's engagement rate on X?
West Bengal Police (@WBPolice) has an engagement rate of 0.011%, based on the median interactions across 27 original posts from the last 30 days against 622,915 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.011%, West Bengal Police sits above the 10th percentile of the 37,071 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @WBPolice have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 35% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,829 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @WBPolice post?
Most posts go out around 02:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.03 posts per day across the measured window.
