Compared with accounts its own size

Alexis Ohanian 🗽's engagement rate beats 35% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,848 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 23% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.011%, Alexis Ohanian 🗽 sits above the 10th percentile of the 37,320 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.012%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 37,320 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 106,750 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

This account posts most often around 12:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

The X Safety team conducted an investigation into suspected Chinese inauthentic accounts involved in influence operations: We identified a bot farm of approximately 200,000 accounts. Within this farm, we found 200 accounts posting in a manner that could manipulate a legitimate debate about American AI and energy policy. These posts contained claims that AI data centers are driving up household electricity prices and straining the grid. Others included AI-generated cartoons that depicted data-center operators enriching themselves at the public's expense. We remain committed to maintaining an open and authentic platform where people debate topics of public interest. We take seriously any attempts to undermine the integrity of the global town square and suspend accounts that violate our Authenticity policy.

This is freaking huge: For the first time, a AI-assisted personalized mRNA cancer treatment has succeeded in a Phase 3 trial. Moderna and Merck sequence each patient’s tumor and compare it with their healthy DNA. AI then helps identify which of the tumor’s mutations are most likely to trigger an immune response. From those targets, Moderna produces an individual mRNA treatment encoding up to 34 neoantigens, The earlier Phase 2 trial followed patients with surgically removed high-risk melanoma for five years: - 68.8% remained cancer-free, compared with 49.1% on Keytruda alone - 49% lower risk of recurrence or death - 59% lower risk of distant metastasis or death Now the much larger Phase 3 trial involving 1,137 patients has also succeeded. Absolutely incredible. Dario was right: cancer will be cured in just a few years!

We really hope Scott is right that hand craft makes a comeback. People (usually on Insta) are always crying that we’re killing stone carvers but I’m like, dude, we employ half the stone carvers in the country! I’m exaggerating a bit, but all we’ve done with robots is create a market for stone carvers again. Sculpture that was so wildly inaccessible has been made just affordable enough that all these talented craftspeople can now get jobs working in stone (handling the details a robot can’t). Some of our carvers were accomplished carvers already but most of them are recent art school grads and fabricators getting trained up in the old ways.

What is Alexis Ohanian 🗽's engagement rate on X?
Alexis Ohanian 🗽 (@alexisohanian) has an engagement rate of 0.011%, based on the median interactions across 79 original posts from the last 30 days against 945,627 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.011%, Alexis Ohanian 🗽 sits above the 10th percentile of the 37,320 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @alexisohanian have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 35% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,848 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @alexisohanian post?
Most posts go out around 12:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 5.17 posts per day across the measured window.
