A typical post picks up 5.8K interactions against 4.1M followers, an engagement rate of 0.14%. Measured over 322 original posts, its engagement rate beats 89% of 3,774 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 132K times each, and 4.40% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.18% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 14.8 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 67% of days. Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 322 posts sampled, 93% carry an image or video, 6% are part of a thread and 8% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 84K interactions, about 14x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Benny Johnson's engagement rate beats 89% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,774 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 93% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.14%, Benny Johnson sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,654 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.08% to 0.433%.

Thousands of Spanish Patriots Have Had Enough of the muslim Invaders in Ceuta. Citizens in Ceuta are driving out the invaders, burning the migrant camps, and blocking NGO aid supplies. They are doing what their government refuses to do: putting their citizens first. This is incredible.

It's Over. We just left the Federal Courthouse in Tampa. The California man who threatened the lives of my wife, my 4 children, and myself in explicit detail was just sentenced after pleading guilty: 11 months in federal prison. 2 years probation. Restraining order. Kate and I delivered victim statements to the court. The Judge did a profound job of reasoning through the sentencing and explaining the weight of rising political violence and its effect on our Constitutional freedoms. The Judge wanted this case to be a deterrence for others who would terrorize a family. That is why we’re sharing this today... George Isabell sent a letter to my house a week after Charlie was murdered, threatening to blow my head off in front of my family. This letter, compounded with a multitude of other physical threats at our doorstep had my wife terrified. Our kids were scared. We had to hire security. New cameras. Gates. We had police outside our house for months. My kids were forced to shelter inside out of fear for their safety. This is terrorism. This type of evil has no place in any civil society. Having a different opinion shouldn't put a target on your back. We thank the judge for ruling in favor of our God-given liberties. We thank you deeply for all the prayers and messages you've sent in support of our family. As a Christian, I encourage you all not to harbor hate. Choose forgiveness. We forgive this man. And we leave justice in the hands of righteous men to wield for the terror of evil men. "For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason." -- Romans 13

🚨 MAJOR SCOTUS VICTORY on Mail-in-Ballots Rules...Lifts Ban on 23 States The Supreme Court has just overruled a block placed by an Obama Judge preventing Trump's Executive Order to implement safeguards for Mail-in-Ballots. The ruling now means states must: -Turn over a list of every voter getting a ballot -Put unique serialized barcodes on both the outgoing and return envelopes If a state refuses, USPS will not deliver those ballots. This is a major election integrity win.

Reading these numbers

A typical post picks up 5.8K interactions against 4.1M followers, an engagement rate of 0.14%. Measured over 322 original posts, its engagement rate beats 89% of 3,774 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 132K times each, and 4.40% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.18% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. What is Benny Johnson's engagement rate on X?
Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) has an engagement rate of 0.14%, based on the median interactions across 322 original posts from the last 30 days against 4,147,418 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.14%, Benny Johnson sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,654 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
