A typical post picks up 109 interactions against 548K followers, an engagement rate of 0.02%. Measured over 37 original posts, its engagement rate beats 43% of 3,882 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 22K times each, and 0.505% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.94% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.3 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 23% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 17:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 37 posts sampled, 19% carry an image or video, 5% are part of a thread and 8% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 882 interactions, about 8.1x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Andy Constan's engagement rate beats 43% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,882 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 35% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.02%, Andy Constan sits above the 25th percentile of the 37,582 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.012% to 0.081%.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 17:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Literally the end of Bessent's market "savvy reputation" as Druck says what's what. Good riddance to this larper. Warsh can finish him quick if he is aligned with Druck

I thought briefly of writing this 101 and outlined it and everything. Then I said fuck it. No one cares as I've been providing these answers for 5 years and people won't learn. TGA 101 What is it? How do flows between the private sector and the Treasury cause its level to change? Why does the Treasury target a certain level? Why does the Treasury on occasion violate its own policy and miss its target? Does issuance composition and quantity of national debt have impact on the target? Can the Treasury Permanently change its 20 odd year rule regarding its target level? Do fluctuations in the TGA lead markets and impact the real economy? Would a permanent change to the target rule which lowered the target have an impact on markets short term and/or permanently ?

Reading these numbers

A typical post picks up 109 interactions against 548K followers, an engagement rate of 0.02%. What is Andy Constan's engagement rate on X?
Andy Constan (@dampedspring) has an engagement rate of 0.02%, based on the median interactions across 37 original posts from the last 30 days against 547,898 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.02%, Andy Constan sits above the 25th percentile of the 37,582 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @dampedspring have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 43% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,882 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @dampedspring post?
Most posts go out around 17:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.33 posts per day across the measured window.
