A typical post picks up 12 interactions against 132K followers, an engagement rate of 0.009%. Measured over 13 original posts, its engagement rate beats 18% of 21,624 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 1.9K times each, and 0.631% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 1.44% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.7 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 40% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 15:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 13 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 329 interactions, about 27x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #somalia, #internationaldayofpeace, #internationalidentityday2026.

Compared with accounts its own size

Farhan Jimale's engagement rate beats 18% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,624 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 30% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.009%, Farhan Jimale sits above the 10th percentile of the 218,597 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.025%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 218,597 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 21,723 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

Honoured to attend this evening’s reception hosted by the @US2SOMALIA Embassy in Mogadishu marking the 250th anniversary of the Independence of the United States. I was pleased to join H.E. President @HassanSMohamud, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, UN representatives, and other distinguished guests in celebrating this important occasion. The event also provided a valuable opportunity to engage with ambassadors and international partners on the important role of independent national human rights institutions in promoting human rights, democratic governance, the rule of law, and international cooperation. Congratulations to the Government and people of the United States on this historic milestone. 🇸🇴🤝🇺🇸

Throwback to 22 September 2004 — exactly 22 years ago today, at my @UN office in Gigiri, Nairobi, during the early years of my United Nations career with @UNOCHA. Careers evolve and positions change, but the lessons we learn, the people we meet and the value of serving with purpose stay with us. Alhamdulillah for the journey and all the lessons along the way.

This afternoon, I had the privilege of engaging with Somali university students and academics at the Aden Adde Fellowship, leading a session on “Human Rights & Good Governance: Building Trust and Somalia’s Democratic Future. Our discussion focused on the relationship between human rights, accountable governance and public trust, and why these are essential to building strong institutions and advancing #Somalia’s democratic future. We also reflected on the democratic legacy of Aden Abdulle Osman “Aden Adde” and the importance of leadership that respects institutions, political pluralism and the peaceful transfer of power. My thanks to the #AdenAddeFellowship, @minbarSpace and #SIU for the invitation, and to the students and participants for their thoughtful questions and engaging discussion.

Today, I joined my colleagues from the National Independent Human Rights Commission for a constructive engagement with the Minister of Commerce and Industry, H.E. @AmbGamal. Protecting human rights must go hand in hand with Somalia’s economic growth. I welcome the Minister’s commitment to working closely with the Commission. Stronger cooperation can help advance responsible business conduct, consumer protection, fair competition and a more inclusive, rights-respecting business environment.

Pleased to join Chairperson of @Somalia_NIHRC @DrMaryanQasim in a meeting today with the Commissioner of the Somali Police Force @SoPoliceForce, Gen. Asad Osman Abdullahi, at the Police Headquarters in Mogadishu. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the Somali Police Force and @Somalia_NIHRC on human rights protection, accountability, complaints handling, civilian protection, detention conditions, and rights-based policing in line with Somalia’s Constitution and international human rights obligations. Both sides underscored the importance of continued engagement, institutional coordination, and building public trust through respect for human rights and the rule of law. Technical teams from both institutions will follow up on the issues discussed and areas of cooperation.

What is Farhan Jimale's engagement rate on X?
Farhan Jimale (@farhanjimale) has an engagement rate of 0.009%, based on the median interactions across 13 original posts from the last 30 days against 132,307 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.009%, Farhan Jimale sits above the 10th percentile of the 218,597 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @farhanjimale have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 18% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (21,624 accounts), which puts it in the bottom quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @farhanjimale post?
Most posts go out around 15:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.7 posts per day across the measured window.
