Compared with accounts its own size

GARY PLAYER's engagement rate beats 45% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,774 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 30% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.01%, GARY PLAYER sits above the 10th percentile of the 36,654 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.012%.

This account posts most often around 18:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

After The Open, Susan and I had the wonderful privilege of playing the Old Course with a few close friends. What a thrill to share such a special experience at St. Andrews, the Home of Golf, where the 18-hole game as we know it began in 1764. I shot 71, even with a double bogey on the famous Road Hole at the 17th. At 90 years young, what a blessing to continue playing this great game on the most famous golf course in the world. I am enormously grateful. GP

Many congratulations to Ryan Fox on an outstanding victory and becoming Champion Golfer of the Year! The Open once again reminded us why golf is so special, where for Ryan, years of hard work, sacrifice and perseverance can culminate in one quick, life-changing putt at age 39. He was ready for his moment, and the 72nd hole was a masterclass in precision, courage and determination. I know his family is so very proud he is bringing home the Claret Jug. A superb 154th at Royal Birkdale. Well done to the R&A and everyone involved. GP

Many congratulations to Wyndham Clark on a superb, wire to wire US Open victory at Shinnecock. There are few accomplishments in golf that compare to winning your country’s National Championship and this course demands every aspect of a player’s game. It was a reminder that behind every champion is a journey filled with sacrifice, support and belief. Well done, Wyndham. GP

I am absolutely delighted that Bryson will compete in this year’s Nedbank Golf Challenge. The South African crowds loved watching him play earlier this year, and it is wonderful to welcome him back to our incredible country. Bryson's passion, power and commitment to the game continue to inspire fans around the world. Bryson is a true global champion of golf. I know he will receive a very special welcome at Sun City, and I look forward to seeing how the new and improved Gary Player Country Club challenges his game. GP

A full life is a gift. A career in golf is a privilege. Having my story told is a humbling honour. My heart is full—full of gratitude for those who brought this documentary to life and full of love for the people who made the journey so extraordinary. You start out just wanting to win that first tournament. Then one day, you look back and realize the journey of a champion became something far greater than trophies or titles. This is my story… of how a young boy from Africa dared to conquer the world.

What is GARY PLAYER's engagement rate on X?
GARY PLAYER (@garyplayer) has an engagement rate of 0.01%, based on the median interactions across 8 original posts from the last 30 days against 4,909,767 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.01%, GARY PLAYER sits above the 10th percentile of the 36,654 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @garyplayer have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 45% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,774 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @garyplayer post?
Most posts go out around 18:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.43 posts per day across the measured window.
