روسيا طوّرت طائرات "غيران" النفاثة بسرعة قياسية، بعد ما الموديل القديم صار عرضة للاعتراض. الموديل الجديد أسرع، وما يقدر يوقفه إلا صواريخ دفاع جوي نادرة ومكلفة. المصنع الروسي يعتمد على قطع محلية، وهذا خلاّه يغيّر خط الإنتاج بسرعة، بعكس أوكرانيا اللي تعتمد على توريد خارجي. عُمان عندها فرصة الآن: فيه مباحثات قائمة بالفعل بين الجانبين لإنشاء مشروع مشترك لإنتاج المسيرات. وعُمان وقّعت مذكرة تفاهم مع شركة روسية في هذا المجال. إذا دخلت عُمان في شراكة حقيقية، بتكسب: تكنولوجيا مجرّبة في ظروف حقيقية تصنيع محلي يقلل الاعتماد على الاستيراد موقعها يخليها بوابة للمنطقة كلها الموضوع أكبر من مجرد صفقة أسلحة، هو استثمار في قدرات وطنية تدوم.
