𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐛𝐲 𝐇-𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭 𝐀𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐆𝐡𝐞𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 The Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST) of the Commissioner’s Task Force, in coordination with the Food Safety Department, conducted a special enforcement drive against illicit ghee manufacturing and trading establishments across Hyderabad City. During the drive, 130 establishments, including 39 manufacturing units and 91 selling outlets, were inspected. Large-scale adulteration involving palm oil, vanaspathi, skimmed milk powder, starch and artificial ghee flavours was detected. The adulterated products were falsely marketed as “100% Pure Ghee,” “Premium Ghee,” “Farm Fresh Ghee” and “Natural Ghee.” The teams seized approximately 36 tonnes of adulterated ghee and raw materials, comprising 25.5 tonnes of adulterated ghee, 8.7 tonnes of cream, 1,200 liters of palm oil, 600 liters of vanaspathi, artificial ghee flavours and 30 kg of starch. Statutory samples were collected for laboratory analysis, and the seized material was handed over to the Food Safety Authorities for further legal action. Investigations revealed that the adulterated ghee, with adulteration levels ranging from 10% to 40%, was supplied to restaurants, tiffin centres, sweet manufacturers, bakeries, caterers, dairy shops and Ayurvedic shops, besides being used as pooja/deepam ghee. The products were manufactured at low cost using substitute ingredients and sold as genuine ghee for higher profits. The use of unauthorised oils and chemical additives in adulterated ghee may pose serious health risks, including increased cardiovascular, digestive, liver and kidney-related complications. Consumers are advised to purchase dairy products only from reputed and licensed vendors and to verify FSSAI license details, manufacturer information, batch number and manufacturing/expiry dates. Citizens are requested to report suspected food adulteration or unhygienic food preparation through Dial 112 or the H-FAST helpline 8712661212. The identity of informants will be kept confidential. The operation was conducted by H-FAST Inspectors N. Ranjith Kumar Goud and M. During the raid, the team found food products being manufactured using expired raw materials, unlabelled flavours and ingredients, besides unhygienic conditions at the premises. Food products and raw materials, including Soanpapdi, Palli Patti/Chikki, jaggery, maida, flavours and other ingredients, worth approximately ₹4,07,300/- were seized. On receiving the information, the H-FAST Team and Food Safety Officer inspected the premises and took necessary action. The accused persons and seized material were subsequently handed over to Adibatla Police, who registered Cr. No. 659/2026 under Sections 275 and 318(4) of the BNS. Investigation is underway. The operation was carried out by Sri D. Krishna Mohan, Inspector of Police, Shamshabad Zone Task Force, along with SIs K. Mansoor Ali and staff, in coordination with the H-FAST Team and Food Safety Officer Sri Rakesh, GHMC. Public Appeal: Citizens are advised to check the manufacturing/packing date, expiry or best-before date, batch number, ingredients and proper labelling before purchasing packaged food. Avoid expired, damaged or improperly labelled food products and report suspected food safety violations to the concerned authorities.

Accused: Mohammed Muneer (26), Abdul Rahman Meehraj (25) and Mohammed Eyas (19). During the raid, police seized 53 vapes, 10 vape liquids and 76 boxes of banned foreign cigarettes, collectively valued at approximately ₹2 lakh. The accused were allegedly procuring banned foreign cigarettes from Mumbai and selling them in Hyderabad at higher prices for illegal profits. The sale, manufacture, import, distribution, transport, storage and advertisement of e-cigarettes are prohibited under the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act, 2019. The operation was conducted by Sri Ch. Yadender, Inspector of Police, Jubilee Hills Zone, Commissioner’s Task Force, with SI Sri Mohd Jahed and team, in coordination with Banjara Hills Police.

BANDLAGUDA POLICE ARREST FOUR ACCUSED IN CRYPTOCURRENCY-BASED CHEATING AND EXTORTION CASE On 15.08.2026, Sri J.R. Chowdary, resident of Begum Bazar, Hyderabad, lodged a complaint alleging that the accused persons had cheated him in the guise of a cryptocurrency transaction and forcibly snatched ₹7,00,000/- from him at Ismail Nagar, Bandlaguda, Hyderabad. During the course of investigation, credible information was developed regarding the involvement of the accused. Accordingly, on 17.08.2026, the Bandlaguda Police team proceeded to Kings Snooker, Chandrayangutta, Hyderabad, where the accused had gathered, and apprehended four accused persons, namely A-1 Saber Bin Ahmed Hadrani @ Saif, A-2 Mohammed Abul Salam, A-3 Mohammed Anas and A-4 Mohammed Asif. During investigation, it was revealed that the accused allegedly adopted a modus operandi of approaching persons through Facebook and inducing them in the name of cryptocurrency transactions. After gaining the confidence of the victims, they allegedly called them to predetermined locations on the pretext of facilitating cryptocurrency transactions and thereafter committed cheating and extortion. The accused persons were also found to be allegedly involved in four similar cases registered at Bandlaguda and Chandrayangutta Police Stations under relevant provisions of the BNS, 2023. Police are making sustained efforts to apprehend A-5 Asif, who is presently absconding, and to recover the amount involved. Further investigation is underway to trace the complete money trail, identify the involvement of any other persons and ascertain any other similar offences. The arrested accused persons are being produced before the Hon’ble Court for judicial custody. Police appeal to the public to exercise utmost caution while dealing with unknown persons offering cryptocurrency, investment or other financial transactions through social media platforms, and to verify the credentials and genuineness of such persons and transactions before parting with money. The investigation was carried out under the direct supervision of Sri A. Sudhakar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chandrayangutta Division, Hyderabad. The ACP appreciated Sri R. Devender, Inspector of Police, Sri S. Nagaraj Reddy, Sub-Inspector of Police, Bandlaguda Police Station, and their team for their swift action and effective detection of the case.

𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸; 𝟰 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗱 Commissioner’s Task Force, Golconda Zone, Hyderabad City, along with Goshamahal Police, apprehended four persons, including one main supplier, one sub-supplier and two consumers, for illegally procuring, supplying, selling and consuming Mephentermine Sulphate injections without valid prescription or licence. The accused were identified as Gowtham Singh (24), main supplier; R. Abhilash (19), supplier; Siddesh Aundekar (19), consumer; and Daksh Upadhyay (20), consumer. Gowtham Singh, with the assistance of Abhilash, allegedly procured the injections from an outside supplier through WhatsApp and sold them to customers in the Goshamahal area at inflated prices. Acting on credible information, the Task Force and Goshamahal Police intercepted the accused near MJ Bridge, Begum Bazar, while they were carrying the injections for sale. Police seized 50 vials of Mephentermine Sulphate injections, 5 empty vials, 5 BD U-40 insulin injections, four mobile phones and a Burgman two-wheeler, with the total property seized valued at approximately ₹1.85 lakh. A case was registered at Goshamahal Police Station in Crime No. 298/2026 under Sections 318(4), 125 r/w 3(5) BNS and Section 18(c) r/w 27(b)(ii) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Inspector M. Mahesh, Task Force, Golconda Zone, by SI N. Naveen along with Goshamahal Police and staff.
