El Consejo Nacional Electoral va publicar en breve los resultados, mesa a mesa, de las elecciones en Venezuela. En cuanto se coteje el resultado de las mesas con lo contabilizado por el CNE, se verá que es imposible falsear el resultado y que los datos coinciden. Si hubiera sido otro país, se habría confiado en el CNE, pero como es Venezuela, se le exige lo que no se exige a ningún otro país. No importa. Se verá que los datos son coincidentes con los datos históricos recientes del chavismo y de la oposición. Algo más de 6 millones Maduro, algo más de 5 millones González. En torno a un millón más de votos para el chavismo. Por eso han intentado hacer caer el sistema hackeándolo. Si se hubiera caído el sistema informático, ya tenían el relato. Qué no habrán hecho en Venezuela. En cuanto se publiquen esos datos, los países que esperaban esa auditoría (porque es Venezuela: nunca se lo han pedido a los EEUU), reconocerán a @NicolasMaduro, igual que ya lo han hecho los países de los BRICS. Más vale tarde que nunca. Ojalá la unidad regional de América Latina se refuerce. Entonces, la derecha venezolana tendrá que escoger si se lanza al abismo con @MariaCorinaYA o empieza una nueva etapa en paz y respetando las reglas. Una buena parte de los candidatos de la oposición ya han reconocido los resultados anunciados por el CNE. Empieza una nueva etapa en Venezuela. Y sería bueno que existiera una oposición democrática. Si no lo entienden, seguirán siendo rehenes de Milei, Díaz Ayuso, Aznar, Bolsonaro, Trump y el resto de la extrema derecha violenta. Y seguirán en el basurero de la historia.

Acabo de hablar con @delcyrodriguezv tras los devastadores terremotos que han golpeado Venezuela. He trasladado la solidaridad de España con el pueblo venezolano y nuestro afecto a las víctimas y sus familias. España está preparada para ayudar. Hoy mismo parte un avión con dos equipos de búsqueda y rescate urbano de la @UMEgob y de ERICAM. También viaja personal de la @AECID_es para evaluar las necesidades sobre el terreno. El Gobierno está trabajando para prestar toda la asistencia posible a la colonia española en Venezuela.

Coincidimos en que la representación no es un concepto vacío, sino un término esencialmente democrático. Pero para que exista, debe haber una democracia real que la sustente. En Venezuela no estamos en democracia: nos toca construirla desde los cimientos de la política bien ejercida y ejecutada. Estamos trabajando bajo condiciones inéditas tras los eventos del 3 de enero; con un gobierno encargado que mantiene relaciones económicas y comerciales con los Estados Unidos, cumpliendo la agenda que Trump decidió. La política en Venezuela debe continuar con quienes deseen sumarse. A quienes les preocupa tanto nuestra reciente reunión, les pregunto: Si según ustedes "no representamos nada", ¿por qué tanto desespero? ¿Por qué la fijación? La preocupación de afuera es el síntoma de que esta iniciativa tiene peso. Sigan ustedes haciendo su política con la "representación" que sienten que tienen. Nosotros seguiremos en el terreno de lo inédito, construyendo lo que aquí hace falta: una democracia de verdad.
