الرجل الذي في الصورة هو الدكتور جورج صليبا. يقول الدكتور جورج صليبا: " ظللت لسنوات أسأل نفسي: كيف يتجسد الإله في بشر ثم يموت؟ كنت أذهب إلى الكنيسة في بيروت وأسأل الكهنة، فكان الرد دائماً: هذا سر إلهي، فلا تسأل عنه. تركت الإيمان المسيحي وأعلنت إلحادي لمدة 25 عاماً كاملة! والغريب أنني طوال تلك الفترة لم أتعرض لأي هجوم، بل على العكس، كان الكهنة والمجتمع يتقبلون إلحادي باعتباره حرية شخصية، وكنت محبوباً بينهم، رغم أنني كنت في أوقات كثيرة أسخر من بعض الأمور الواردة في الإنجيل. وكنت أرى المسيحيين يضحكون ويتعاملون مع الأمر بمحبة، وكأنني لم أسخر من معتقداتهم. وإذا جاء أحد المسيحيين وقال لي: “أنت ملحد، فلا تتحدث عن المسيحية!” كنت أرى مسيحيين آخرين يردون عليه قائلين: “الدكتور جورج حر، وما شأنك أنت؟ إنه حر في حياته !! " لم تكن لديهم مشكلة في أن يكون الإنسان ملحداً، أو حتى أن يعبد البقر. وفي أحد الأيام، بينما كنت أسير في شوارع بيروت، دخلت منطقة لا يعرفني فيها أحد، فوجدت نفسي أمام مسجد في يوم الجمعة. دخلت وجلست، وكانت تلك اللحظة هي الصدمة والمقارنة التي غيّرت حياتي! في الكنيسة، رأيت مقاعد محددة ودرجات، وهيبة تفصل بين الكاهن والرعية. أما في المسجد، فقد رأيت منظراً أذهلني: الغني يجلس بجانب الفقير، والطبيب بجانب العامل، والجميع يجلسون على السجادة جنباً إلى جنب، متساوين من دون تفرقة أو ألقاب، والكل يسجد لرب واحد من دون وسطاء. شعرت براحة نفسية وعظمة لم أشعر بهما طوال حياتي. لكن الصدمة الأكبر كانت عندما أعلنت إسلامي! فجأة انقلب كل شيء، وتحول الحب والقبول إلى غضب وهجوم شديدين. فبدأت أتساءل: كيف أكون ملحداً لمدة 25 عاماً وأكون محبوباً ومقبولاً، ثم عندما أجد طريق الله والإسلام أتعرض لكل هذا الهجوم؟ وظللت أبحث عن تفسير لهذا الهجوم، حتى قرأت آية في القرآن الكريم شرحت لي، كما شعرت، كل ما يحدث معي بوضوح، وهي قول الله تعالى: ﴿وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا شَيَاطِينَ الْإِنسِ وَالْجِنِّ يُوحِي بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ زُخْرُفَ الْقَوْلِ غُرُورًا ۖ وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُ ۖ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ﴾. عندها فهمت الحقيقة. فالآية توضح أن سنة الله في الأرض هي وجود الصراع بين الحق والباطل، وأن أعداء الحق قد يتعاونون على تزيين الكلام الباطل وتضليل الناس. فطوال ما كنت ملحداً وبعيداً عن الدين، كان البعض يتركني وشأني ويعتبر الأمر حرية شخصية، ولكن عندما اخترت طريق الإيمان والإسلام، بدأ الهجوم والافتراء. عندها تأكدت أنني اخترت الدين الحق. الحمد لله على نعمة الإسلام
