Marcos Galperin engagement report
@marcos_galperin - 523K followers on X
Measured over 8 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on August 27, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 5.2K interactions against 523K followers, an engagement rate of 1.00%. Measured over 8 original posts, its engagement rate beats 95% of 3,954 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 265K times each, and 1.98% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 50.6% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.1 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 37% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 16:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 8 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 38K interactions, about 7.2x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
Marcos Galperin's engagement rate beats 95% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,954 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 69% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 1.00%, Marcos Galperin sits above the 75th percentile of the 38,255 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the top 25% band, which runs 0.44% to 2.10%.

Posting timing
This account posts most often around 16:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

A highly organized criminal operation in South Africa has dismantled and stolen nearly 10 kilometers of active railway track, inflicting an estimated $2.3 million in infrastructure damage. The perpetrators operated with professional, engineering-level precision, leaving no room for error. Yet, despite the massive logistical destruction, the stolen rails are expected to yield a mere $120,000 on the illicit scrap metal market. The immediate fallout has paralyzed local rail services, stranding vital freight and passenger trains. The operational halt has placed the future of the rail depot in jeopardy, threatening the livelihoods of workers whose jobs are now at risk. Beyond the immediate economic impact, this sabotage deals a massive blow to the national mobility of the South African people, as well as businesses and industries reliant on rail to move cargo and materials. While addressing this crisis should be a top priority for the Ramaphosa administration, its reluctance to act decisively reflects embarrassing incompetence. Ultimately, this incident highlights the escalating crisis of metal theft in South Africa, where the systemic stripping of essential infrastructure has evolved into a catastrophic economic threat costing the country hundreds of millions of dollars annually.

NFA DYOR

- Marcos Galperin (@marcos_galperin) has an engagement rate of 1.00%, based on the median interactions across 8 original posts from the last 30 days against 523,105 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 1.00%, Marcos Galperin sits above the 75th percentile of the 38,255 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @marcos_galperin have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 95% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,954 accounts), which puts it in the top 10% for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @marcos_galperin post?
- Most posts go out around 16:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.13 posts per day across the measured window.
