A typical post picks up 94 interactions against 637K followers, an engagement rate of 0.015%. Measured over 44 original posts, its engagement rate beats 39% of 3,899 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 13K times each, and 0.731% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.02% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.6 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 73% of days. Most posts go out around 12:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 44 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video and 16% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 2.2K interactions, about 24x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #eidelmaulud, #energyfortoday, #energyfortomorrow.

Compared with accounts its own size

NNPC Limited's engagement rate beats 39% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,899 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 44% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.015%, NNPC Limited sits above the 25th percentile of the 37,701 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.012% to 0.081%.

Twins. Two Dreams. One Opportunity If you met them in a hallway, chances are, you’d look twice. Hussaini and Hassan Malami are identical twins. One wears glasses. The other is slightly taller. But looking closer, I noticed something else. Hussaini is the quieter one. Hassan happily does most of the talking. Members of the NNPC Tigers Class of 2026, their story challenges a persistent misconception about NNPC’s recruitment process. Joining NNPC had always been Hussaini’s dream. When applications opened, he applied immediately and urged his twin to do the same. Hassan wasn’t interested. He held back, wrongly assuming that NNPC only hired one person per family and did not want to ruin his brother’s lifelong dream. His dream was the Nigerian Air Force and service to Nigeria. He already had a job in banking and didn’t see himself in corporate life. Besides, three older siblings, including a lawyer, an engineer and a business administrator, had all applied unsuccessfully to NNPC over the years. Their father is a retiree, but if there had ever been an "in", their siblings’ experience proved otherwise. Hassan wasn’t expecting a different outcome and only applied after his brother’s persistent encouragement, nearing the deadline. They took a computer-based test on the same day in different cities. Hussaini in Sokoto and Hassan in Kaduna. Like every other successful candidate, after a rigorous process that included interviews, they received employment letters on the same day. “I opened the email after midnight and wanted to wake everybody up to tell them,” Hussaini laughed. Hassan first saw the news on the family WhatsApp group when he woke up. That’s when the pressure hit him. “I was now nervous about the possibility of not being successful once Hussaini shared his news.” They both got in. Park that. Hussaini is currently with NNPC Exploration & Production Limited (NNPC E&P Limited), while Hassan works at NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company (NGIC), where he has discovered an entirely new side of Nigeria’s energy industry. “I didn’t know there was a whole business dedicated to transporting gas,” Hassan said. “Now I’ve seen how gas powers plants and manufacturing companies...Hearing that gas is the future is one thing. Seeing how it is happening is another.” Ironically, the brother who never wanted a corporate career now sees his job at NNPC as a form of national service. He still hopes to explore military service before he reaches the age limit in 2030, but today he is exactly where he wants to be. For Hussaini, the experience has strengthened a lifelong dream. He also hopes to give back to his university as a guest lecturer. “When I was in university, I only had one lecturer with field experience,” he said. “I want to share practical experience with students someday.” Asked which NNPC culture transformation pillar best reflects their mindset, Hussaini says Enterprise First, because “giving your best to the company is giving your best to the country.” Hassan tilts towards Execution Excellence. “I’m a civil engineer...I like seeing things come to life from concept to completion.” Any advice to young Nigerians trying to get into NNPC? They echoed the same message: “Ignore the rumours. You don’t need to know anybody at NNPC. Apply. Take the test and earn your place.” At first, one notices what makes them identical. Dig a little deeper and discover what makes them different. Likewise, sometimes the stories we assume we know deserve a second look. Ambition, Love and the Journey to NNPC When I first heard that there was an engaged couple among the 2026 class of NNPC Tigers, I knew immediately they were a #HumansOfNNPC story, and I had to meet them. So, on Tiger Graduation Day, I invited Philips and Olamide to my office. I was expecting a cute story about two people who had applied to NNPC together and somehow found themselves graduating together. What I got was much better. Their story began long before NNPC. Park that. They first met at the Polaris Bank Graduate Intensive Training School in Lagos. Olamide remembers thinking Philips was calm, intelligent and quite easy to talk to. His first impression of her? Open and smart. Yet, neither of them heard the faintest toll of wedding bells. Fast forward a few years and separately, both saw the NNPC Tigers recruitment announcement and applied. Then the coincidences began. They lived far apart but were assigned to the same centre for the computer-based test. They prepared together, encouraged each other and moved on to the interview stage. Then, somehow, they were scheduled for interviews on the same day. Same panel. Same room. Out of about 1,000 candidates being interviewed daily, in batches of five. At this point, I am thinking (out loud): Okay, NNPC recruitment process or matchmaking exercise? They laughed. But there was something lovely about the way they told the story. There was no sense that either had expected life to unfold this way. They simply kept showing up, doing the work and cheering each other on. Then the job offers came. Philips says he opened the email and had a light bulb moment. “It was then I knew Olamide was my wife,” he said, smiling. That part will stay parked… I was curious about what they had heard about NNPC recruitment before they applied. The familiar stories came up: you needed to know someone, the process was almost impossible, that ordinary qualified applicants without connections did not stand a chance. This was far from their experience. Neither knew anyone at NNPC. They found the opportunity online, applied through the official recruitment portal and went through the required stages. “I was most surprised by how structured the process was. Every stage demanded preparation, patience and high performance,” Olamide said. Their advice to anyone considering applying for the next Tigers programme? “Apply anyway!” Don’t believe the hype and what you read. Do not reject yourself before your application is considered. Prepare and let the process decide whether you stand a chance. How has their journey through Tigerdom been? In their early days in Abuja, before they found an apartment, their daily commute involved a bike from T-Pumpy Estate to Lugbe, followed by a taxi from Police Signpost to work. “We were learning new names, acronyms and departments while trying hard to look like we knew exactly what we were doing,” Philips recalls. Today, they laugh about it as the sweetest part of their story, beginning their careers and a life together. Judging by the way they spoke about each other in my office, I suspect this is only the beginning of an exceptional story. #HumansOfNNPC #FutureReadyNNPC #EnergyForToday #EnergyForTomorrow

What is NNPC Limited's engagement rate on X?
NNPC Limited (@nnpclimited) has an engagement rate of 0.015%, based on the median interactions across 44 original posts from the last 30 days against 637,050 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.015%, NNPC Limited sits above the 25th percentile of the 37,701 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @nnpclimited have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 39% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,899 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @nnpclimited post?
Most posts go out around 12:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.6 posts per day across the measured window.
