Stephen A Smith engagement report
@stephenasmith - 6.1M followers on X
Measured over 63 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on August 31, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 683 interactions against 6.1M followers, an engagement rate of 0.011%. Measured over 63 original posts, its engagement rate beats 47% of 3,791 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 212K times each, and 0.322% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.45% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.5 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on almost every day in the window. Most posts go out around 18:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 63 posts sampled, 73% carry an image or video, 11% are part of a thread and 17% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 155K interactions, about 228x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #ad, #nobodyishiding, #salute.

Compared with accounts its own size
Stephen A Smith's engagement rate beats 47% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,791 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 29% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.011%, Stephen A Smith sits above the 10th percentile of the 36,759 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.012%.

Posting timing
This account posts most often around 18:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

I'm not backing down from this one. You can support people's rights AND believe biological men shouldn't compete in women's sports. Those two things are not mutually exclusive. My issue isn't hate. It's protecting women, protecting girls, and asking why a WNBA coach chose to inject herself into a controversy that could hurt the very league she's supposed to represent. Common sense still matters. That's where I stand. My full remarks are on YouTube.

Stephen A. Smith showers Marco Rubio with praise: says he’s “the real deal,” and his credentials are “PRETTY FREAKING IMPECCABLE.” High marks for JD Vance and Gov. DeSantis, too. SMITH: “JD Vance knows how to handle himself in front of a camera. He's younger, he's sharp, he's articulate. Marco Rubio has been a longtime senator, is the Secretary of State, Director of National Security, whose credentials are pretty freaking impeccable." “Both of them articulate themselves very well. In Rubio's case, he's bilingual, of Cuban descent, and that ain't gonna hurt him.” “There's hope on the horizon once Trump leaves office... On the REPUBLICAN side. Say what you want about DeSantis, he's an executive. I got some issues with him... But I got news for you... I don't hear too many people complaining about the state of Florida. And I ain't gonna be no hypocrite. I MOVED THERE.” “Rubio, his nationals, his foreign policy experience, being the Secretary of State for this country, very articulate, knows how to deal with combativeness, bilingual, got an Hispanic populace out there that respects the hell out of him.” “I think Rubio is the real deal. I think Rubio is the real deal. I think Governor DeSantis is the real deal. These are formidable candidates that will stand in front of any Democrat believing they can eat them alive!” “Do you think Kamala Harris or AOC can deal with them?” “Gavin Newsom can argue against anybody. Sounds smooth as hell right up until a minute you look at California... and all of a sudden you change your mind.” These are not the words of a Republican. This is coming from a Kamala Harris voter who later admitted he “regrets” his decision. And if Democrats keep going the route of the communist DSA, they’re going to lose people like Stephen A. Smith for good before 2028.

Had to get the business clear with Officer Tatum about a few things. When Black people talk about the lack of resources in our communities that isn’t about asking for handouts. It’s about making sure our tax dollars come back to our communities like everyone else’s. When conservatives funded snap, it was because they didn’t want to hurt the business owners. When I talk about schools, roads, parks, and public investment, I’m talking about fairness and accountability—not charity. People like Tatum are why I created Civics for the People to inform and engage people against the nonsense people like him spew. Support Civics for the People by clicking the link in my bio so we can keep educating people on how government works and how to use that knowledge to create change. I’m not new this, I’m true at this. Share if you care. 🦾

- What is Stephen A Smith's engagement rate on X?
- Stephen A Smith (@stephenasmith) has an engagement rate of 0.011%, based on the median interactions across 63 original posts from the last 30 days against 6,147,150 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.011%, Stephen A Smith sits above the 10th percentile of the 36,759 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @stephenasmith have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 47% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,791 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @stephenasmith post?
- Most posts go out around 18:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.53 posts per day across the measured window.
