Peygamber efendimizin amcası Hazreti Abbas (radiyallahü anh) da oradaydı. Peygamber efendimiz; "Amcacığım, benden kaç yaş büyüksün" diye sordu. Hazreti Abbas; "Ya Resulullah! Sizden üç yaş eskiyim" dedi. Edepsizlik olmasın diye üç yaş büyüğüm demedi... Bir gün Peygamber efendimiz Eshab-ı kiramdan birine ceza verdi." Onu hapsettim" buyurdu. Ona gidip, Resulullah senin için onu hapsettim buyurdu dediler. Yolda bunu duyunca olduğu gibi kaldı. Bir ayağı arkadaydı, diğer ayağının yanına koymadı. "Ben bu emri burada aldım. Bundan sonra atacağım her adım emre muhalefet olur" dedi. Durumu Resulullah efendimize bildirdiler. "Ben de onu affettim" buyurdu. İşte Eshab-ı Kiram efendilerimiz Resulullah'ın her emrine böyle hassasiyet gösterirler, her zaman edebe riayet ederlerdi.
