A typical post picks up 8.9K interactions against 553K followers, an engagement rate of 1.72%. Measured over 28 original posts, its engagement rate beats 98% of 3,739 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 1.0M times each, and 0.884% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 182.2% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.9 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 63% of days. Most posts go out around 05:00 UTC, and Sunday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 28 posts sampled, 25% carry an image or video and 11% are part of a thread. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 22K interactions, about 2.5x its own typical post.

Measured over 28 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on August 27, 2026.

Compared with accounts its own size

Tibo's engagement rate beats 98% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,739 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 47% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 1.72%, Tibo sits above the 75th percentile of the 36,134 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the top 25% band, which runs 0.431% to 2.11%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 36,134 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 107,713 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 05:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Tomorrow we will bring back the 5h limit for Plus accounts across ChatGPT Work and Codex. I had mentioned this a while ago, but then postponed it. This is necessary as (a) the 5h limit allows us to smoothen the load on our compute, allowing to keep the plan generous in terms of weekly usage and (b) users on the Plus plan are relatively casual and new users, but then also just accidentally eat through their whole weeks usage and then are confused, making it not a great experience. We are for the upcoming months keeping the 5h limit not enabled for Pro $100 and Pro $200 subscriptions.

Why did you switch to Codex? What do you like about it and what could we improve? Don’t say reset.

A good thing about having aged is that I feel that it’s been 20 years since I’ve pressed the reset button. Intrigued to see if I can find it tomorrow and dust it up

If you have a company and still use Opus instead of Sol, why so? Does price not matter to you? What's something that would convince you to switch?

Update on rate limits in Codex. We do see that for some users the cache hit rate has been worse this week than the stable state the weeks before. This could explain that usage is draining somewhat faster for those users as hitting the cache consistently is an important component of being efficient. We are investigating and will have an update tomorrow.

What is an obvious thing that we should do with Codex, API or our models that we should just do but haven't yet? What is 100% within reach, but we just seem to be missing?

We've investigated a few messages about codex usage limits being different. That's not something we change without engaging the community and being transparent. What we did see is that when talking to affected users many were using sub2api. Converting a subscription into api traffic to then re-serve or share across many users is not something we support and this type of usage gets flagged by our fraud-prevention systems. You are completely fine if you use your subscription through Sign in With ChatGPT, either through the official clients or through one of the many OSS clients (Pi, OpenCode, ...) that support signing in with your account and using your included usage.

What is Tibo's engagement rate on X?
Tibo (@thsottiaux) has an engagement rate of 1.72%, based on the median interactions across 28 original posts from the last 30 days against 553,074 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 1.72%, Tibo sits above the 75th percentile of the 36,134 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @thsottiaux have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 98% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,739 accounts), which puts it in the top 10% for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @thsottiaux post?
Most posts go out around 05:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.9 posts per day across the measured window.
