Measured over 2 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on September 2, 2026.
Engagement
Early reading. We have captured 2 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.
A typical post picks up 200 interactions against 675K followers, an engagement rate of 0.03%. Posts are seen about 118K times each, and 0.169% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 17.6% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.23 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 20% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 03:00 UTC, and Sunday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 2 posts sampled, 50% carry an image or video and 50% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 9.7K interactions, about 49x its own typical post. Only 2 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Really shocked at the passing away of GM. Daniel Naroditsky. An excellent chess commentator and educator . A genuinely nice person. A life gone too soon. My deepest condolences to his family. The chess world will miss his presence.

Congratulations @chessvaishali . She showed excellent preparation and resilience. Took the blows & delivered the punches. A proud moment for Indian chess with two Indians to cheer for in the World Championships. Personally proud that our @WacaChess mentee will now have a shot at the world title. Jose Martinez continues his spectacular run in the FIDE world cup. His brilliant combination sacrificing his piece on a7 leading to a won position. It has been a dramatic event so far, and looks poised to get even more exciting over the next few days. Pragg versus Dubov and Arjun against Leko are certainly going to be fun to watch @FIDE_chess

Happy to announce Illamparthi as a GM illamparthi! .as part of @WacaChess we couldn't have been prouder. Pranav Venkatesh had a very good run in the World Cup. Today he declined a possible repetition and tried to continue with his extra pawn but this turned out badly. Nonetheless very good performance by him and hopefully a sign of more to come. At WACA @WacaChess, we are very happy that we have partnered with him in this journey. Congratulations to his Uzbek opponent Nodirbek Yakubboev on reaching the 5th round!

Over the past four years, it has been an honour to work at FIDE and contribute to the development of chess . I have worked with colleagues from grassroots programmes to elite competitions. Together, we have made significant progress in expanding opportunities for players, federations and organisers, while making chess more accessible. I am proud of what we have achieved as a team, but I also believe there is much more we can accomplish. That is why I have accepted Timur Turlov's invitation to continue serving as FIDE Deputy President as part of his team. I believe Timur has the vision, energy and expertise to maintain the momentum we have built in recent years while opening new opportunities for chess. His experience in leading a publicly listed international company, his commitment to technology and innovation, and his long-standing support for chess make him well positioned to guide FIDE into its next chapter. Through his leadership, I believe FIDE can become even more digital, financially resilient and inclusive, while ensuring every region of the world has a stronger voice in shaping the future of our game. I look forward to continuing this journey together - for the benefit of players, federations and chess lovers everywhere.@TurlovforChess #TurlovforChess #FIDE

Arjun Erigaisi versus Levon Aronian is the heavyweight pairing of the round. The highest ranked player left in the tournament against the cunning veteran. Both have looked impressive so far.@FIDE_chess https://t.co/bUr4AbHetl
